I know LB is not necessairly a 1st RD need but I'm not to sure if he's not at 23 we should'nt take him.Donnie Edwards is 34 and who knows how many more years he will really play and Bell will probably be a June 1 casualty(my pure guess no source or link).we need depth at LB and in 2-3 years a Beason, Harris, DJ starting LB trio could be one of the better for years to come.I will get ripped probably fpor this idea but Herm did say they'd take the best player available so who knows they might take Beason at 23 which I would have no problem wiht

I'm not big on BPA avail 1st round. With that Beason wouldn't be the best available if Houston, Meachem, Jarrett, Revis, and Bowe are available. If it came down to it, Beason or Staley I'd take Staley.

Plenty of depth at olb and ILB this year that are just as 'solid' as Beason..esp if he he won't even be a starter.

Beason is probably 23-25th range on my big board. Houston, Revis, Meachem, Bowe, Jarrett are ahead of hiim and Staley prolly right behind.

I find it difficult to believe that Beason would be the best player available at 23. There's just too many guys that I think are better and would have a more immediate impact than Beason and one of those guys is bound to be available at 23.
