Didn't he have repeated issues with marijuana use? Could be Schiano decided it was time to go.

Could be in more marijuana related trouble too and the team just decided to cut ties with him this way.
"Failed a physical" is always a fishy reason for a player to be cut. More often than not, like Eric Winston earlier this offseason, the player is signing a contract with a new team shortly thereafter and will be ready to go for practices.

Would not surprise me with him. He's a top talent though. I think he'll land with someone very quickly.

Reporters in the Tampa area have said that their sources within the organization say that Tanard Jackson wasn't rehabbing his shoulder like he was expected to. That, coupled with the fact that he skipped last week's off-season program, probably resulted in his release.
It's not a huge loss for the Bucs, anyway. He was one of the worst players on the defense last year, which is just sad. His shoulder injury is probably related to the fact that he never, ever wraps up when he tackles. He simply hurls himself into offensive players shoulder first.

He got worse every season. Probably because of the drugs and knocking up the porn star. What a shame.

Such a waste of talent.
Who's going to play safety for the Bucs ? Cody Grimm and... Ahmad Black ? Larry Asante ? Huh.
But I'm not sad that he's gone. He was the first one to quit last year during the terrible stretch.

Yeah, usually.
Brett Favre failed his physical when was traded to the Packers. The Doctors said he'd be out of the league in five years, because he had a serious hip condition. Ron Wolf told the doctors to get back down there and pass him, so that's what they did. That tells you how little a failed physical really matters.
Unless there's legitimately a major injury in the players history, there's more to it.

Never.
Everybody thinks Washington because of Morris but I wouldnt be surprised if Green Bay took a long look with Collins' future still in question.

Washington signed Meriweather, Madieu Williams, and Cedric Griffin who could bump to safety. Would it really be telling if Washington didnt sign him because of Morris even with the others? I don't think so.

Yeah. I'm sure he flirted with the Falcons to try and get Washington to increase the offer, but knew he had to sign fast after that.

I don't know what Buc fans were promoting "Sabby and Tanard Greatest Safety Combo", because we were all happy when they cut Piscatelli.
There was no doubt, Tanard had the potential to be a great FS in this league. He was a pure ball hawk and playmaker back there. His character and off-field issues always held him back. He pretty much was never able to be trusted. When the Bucs were hot in 2010 during the first 3 weeks, he went and failed a drug test, leaving a huge hole. He burned the team and organization, and lacked trust in him.
Raheem brought him back last year. Schiano isn't Raheem. Apparetnly, Tanard Jackson didn't make a great impression by not rehabbing accordingly and skipping workouts and not being at the facility with the rest of the team.
These young Bucs are in for a complete turn-around and will see how a football team should be run by a real head coach, not Raheem, there best pal, Morris.

The non stop Sabby hype might have been before you became the central Bucs homerism force.
AND THE YOUNGRY BUCS ARE READY TO DOMINATE... AGAIN.

Yeah. Sure. Bucs were that bad last year, Atlanta shouldn't have split.
