Your argument would probably look better if the Bucs didn't go 4-12. They're picking in the top 5.

Green Bay did show interest in him before he was drafted, but I don't really see him as an upgrade over Peprah or Burnett.

TT is going to sign a guy with his issues? Seriously doubt it.

He is substantially better than those two when he isn't A) injured or B) suspended.

Yeah it probably would. We'll see how this year plays out. Much respect though to the Falcons. It's the Saints I can care less about.

Not that I think Green Bay will go anywhere near Jackson, Anthony Hargrove says hello.

Hargrove's issues arent current though. I'm pretty sure John Schneider would have dropped a word about him too.
I believe Tanard Jackson is one weed related incident away from a lifetime ban as it would be his 3rd offence.

4th offense. His 3rd resulted in the indefinate suspension, which lasted 19 games I believe.
So, he gets one last shot. My opinion? He failed a drug test issued by the team, not a physical. It's early. If he had shoulder surgery and the reports say he'd be ready by June, before TC, that's not a proper excuse to cut him.
Good for Schiano. Get rid of the waste that doesn't fit or buy into the philosophy.

Jackson said already he would love to be reunited with Raheem and Allen in DC. It ultimately boils down to what Raheem thinks of him. FS is a huge need right now and signing him would allow us to go CB or OT in the 3rd and S later instead of reaching for one at #69. Meriweather is slated to start at SS so between Jackson, Williams and possibly Griffin we should be able to find decent FS play hopefully.

We knew they would. Now all they need to do to complete their predicted offseason is to squander those two first rounders on either mediocre players that they'll overdraft or high risk boom/bust players who will surely bust.
Perhaps one of each.

Like Carlos Dunlap, Geno Atkins, AJ Green, and Andy Dalton?

Actually, two of them do prove my point. Dunlap was a boom/bust type who so far has 1 career start, spends most of his type as a strictly rotational pass rusher and had 4.5 sacks last year. Dalton fits the mediocre part as I think he'll max out somewhere around the Chad Pennington level where he'll allow the talent around him to play up to their their level uninhibited, but he'll never be a franchise QB who can carry a team.
Suffice it to say that I do not have much faith in the Bengals to do intelligent things regularly.

They do fine. Its not like every other team is having perfect drafts. They just sometimes use a version of NFL moneyball where they get players with value because of character concerns or something else is wrong with them. There are worse teams at drafting out there than the Bengals.

Maybe a few, but the Bengals are damn close to the bottom tier.
Back beyond two years, there's Andre Smith who might become an alright guard, but that isn't what you want out of a #6 pick. Maualuga is proving to be nothing special. Michael Johnson is keeping afloat at least. I'm pretty sure Chase Coffman is out of football. Keith Rivers is oft-injured and might be traded for peanuts soon. Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell are gone from the team. Pat Sims is an alright rotational piece and Anthony Collins is an alright spot starting RT. Jonathan Joseph is gone. So is Frostee Rucker. Kenny Irons? Go even further back to see the Pollack, Thurman, Henry year...Chris Perry? yeah...
So we have a few guys from the last two years who could be good, Leon Hall and Andrew Whitworth that are with the team and notably good.

Apparently the Bears have extended Lance Briggs by a year, through 2014. He never got over the butthurt from not getting a mega deal when he was a FA, but I'm glad to still have him around.

I could do this with almost every team.

Andre Smith was a top 5 RT this year.
