If I were the heat I'd be worried about the Celtics in the playoffs. Because Lebron had a great game, Wade had a good game, Bosh had a decent game, and Chalmers had a great game and they still lost.
If Garnett keeps up his play and Brandon Bass can continue to get a double double against the Heat the C's have more than enough to make it a series.

You think D'Antoni really told Lin just stand there and then launch a 3?
Actually that does sound like him, good play D'Antoni!

Doubt that they will both be completely healthy? Probably true, but even 80% Rose and 50-60% Rip is still more than enough to dominate the Knicks in no more than 6 games, and we're probably looking at 90-95% Rose and 75-80% Rip barring any setbacks.
Like I said, Knicks only victory over the Bulls this season came at home, by 1 in OT, in the first game Rose played in 3 weeks. On one day's rest, the Knicks then lost by 12 to the Bulls, minus Rose, in Chicago and the game wasn't really a contest for the last 20 minutes of the game. The first 2 games are pretty meaningless at this point.
The Knicks are playing a lot better under Woodson, but they still have absolutely zero composure and probably would crack under the pressure of the playoffs. Look at last night, there was multiple spans of 4-6 minutes where their offense couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, and they would come down on defense and just hack guys in frustration. It would be a good, entertaining series, but it will probably end up like the Bulls-Pacers last year.

It's funny how everyone is looking at this from one angle. Yes, the Bulls blew it vs us on Sunday, but we also blew it vs the Bulls. We had a 21 point lead that we squandered. If anything, we would have thrown the game away, we deserved to win.
And we are doing this without Stat, a guy who does very well vs the Bulls. Once he comes back, you can't lock down on Melo anymore.
Also **** Kurt Huelin. He's the biggest Knick hater I've ever seen.

take korver's hot performance out and the bulls offense was more defunct than the knicks'.
and get outta here with that dominate crap. the knicks with stoudamire and lin back could very possibly take the bulls in a series. shumpert can defend rose, especially if he's not 100%. the way melo's playing defense and with his shot much more effective, he'll be a force in the playoffs. stat coming back will improve our poor rebounding. it's not as matter-of-fact as you tell it.

Hey, I was on here saying the Knicks deserved to win Sunday. It was a great game, and they absolutely won it more than the Bulls blew it. And in a playoff series, I would expect that to be the game whenever they play in MSG.
But it's also funny how Knick fans (across the interwebz) act like the 1 point OT victory at home >>>> losing by 12 on the road 2 days later. Any unbiased NBA fan would tell you that Sunday's game was more of a fluke than last night. Stat definitely adds more as he is a Bulls killer, but he also takes touches away from Melo.
Plus, it's not like the Bulls double Melo ever, so not sure what your point about locking down Melo is, unless you mean helping when he drives which they still would do regardless since all Stat does is stand at the FT line.

Quiet you. You know I have no logic when it comes to Knicks/Bulls bc I hate the Bulls so much.
Melo was getting swarmed in zone, he did a great job the past 2 games to kick it out to the open guy, but they just aren't hitting their shots. But with Stat back, once you collapse on Melo he has a runner to the hoop in Stat that will make them pay.
It's a double edged sword bc the arrival of Stat also hurts our floor spacing, but at the same time, we wouldn't be so dependant on Melo to score when he does come back. We also wouldn't get hurt so bad in the paint when Chandler takes a rest.
We can only do so much with this small lineup we have going right now. The Bulls have been killing us with 2nd chance points. But when Stat comes back, that's also more height to combat that.
I don't think this is gonna be such an easy playoff series for the Bulls like everyone on here wants to suggest. I get that there is a lot of Knick hate on here, but we're a good basketball team when clicking, and I stand by my statements that we'd mop the floor with Philly, Indy, basically any team in the East outside of Miami, Chicago, and Boston in the playoffs. None of the other teams stack up against us.

Knicks had Stoudemire and Lin the first 2 games, and still lost. It doesn't mean much at this point, but it's not like they are these world beaters that instantly make the Knicks better than the Bulls, especially Lin. Lin would get abused if he had to guard Rip.
I'm not saying the Bulls will absolutely dominate the Knicks and easily win, nor am I saying the Knicks couldn't beat the Bulls in a series. All I said is that with Rose and Rip both at least 80%, the Bulls SHOULD be able to dominate the Knicks to the tune of a 5 or 6 game series.
Also, my comment wasn't about the Knicks inability to score, but the fact that when they can't score they lose their composure easily. They start forcing jump shots and getting sloppy on D. That will really hurt them come playoffs.

Also, everyone should fear Jimmy Butler. We like to randomly put him on guys like Melo and Lebron when Deng is out, and he does surprisingly well.
He's going to take Luolz place as the above average, lengthly defender that has a marginal offensive game once we inevitably include Deng in a trade for a big man.

Butler was one of my favorite sleepers in the draft last year. I remember a couple of people laughed at me when I took him with the Bulls in the forum mock and like 2 weeks later he gets taken in the exact same spot. Big, strong, athletic, can guard multiple positions. I'd be surprised if he doesn't stick around in the league for a while. Needs to develop more of an offensive game though.

The Bulls will almost certainly beat the Knicks with ease in a playoff series unless one of two things happen:
1. Rose is injured and misses a bunch of games/his play is greatly affected
2. Melo goes off and has one of the best playoff series ever
I don't know how everyone can't see this.

they are only one game out. that'd be the funniest thing in the history of the world.
oh, and I know it's hard to believe, but guys, the nets got eliminated from the playoffs last night :(
edit: and they play each other tonight, holy crap.
and the bucks schedule is so easy to close! they play:
the pistons, nets, wizards and raptors! tough games with 2 against indy, one against philly and boston though

I sure hope so. Hell, I hope it's longer. He said numerous times he has no intentions of leaving the Nets this off-season, and we want him back, so I'd love for him to stay. Give him an incentive based 2-3 year deal
