Wow, this makes me feel so much better with not having used shaving cream most of the time. Now, I don't shave, however. I trim. I bought a trimmer a few years ago since I look pretty badass with stubs. So now i just trim down to about 2mm whenever my gf complains about my beard which is about every two weeks or so.

I only ever used shaving cream twice, tried it without, and haven't gone back, never will, now that I know I'm not alone. My dad used to think I was ******** until he saw I never had any trouble with cutting my face up or **** like that. I haven't truly shaved in a while anyway. I've just trimmed for the past year or so, so I haven't gotten a chance to not use it anyway.

Yeah... I hardly ever use shaving cream when I shave. I actually shave in the shower and use the hot water as a lubricant. I have a goatee and over the last few years I have just been able to go by feel. After I am done shaving I use a face cleaner to help prevent razor burn and the occasional pimple.

When I am done I get out and touch it up with the mirror over the sink, getting any spots I might have missed in the shower.

Shower shaving is the way to do it. When I shaved, I did in the shower. Only thing that sucked is I couldn't ever go more than two days without shaving without feeling like I'd clog up the drain. But then I decided I'd do a beard, and haven't looked back since.

my hair is short and ruff, and if i try dry shaving, the blade gets caught and i end up bleeding.

Everybody who has had facial hair for more than two years has rough facial hair. No excuses.

Seriously, how does that happen? I'd have to press like a ************ to actually cut myself while shaving... And I'm pretty sure I don't have iron-skin, so rule that out...

I got my head shaved yesterday but couldn't bring myself to get rid of the beard. Maybe i'll go another 12 months without shaving.
