i don't disagree with that at all. i feel others overrrate him however. especially since he's the next big GK star from deutschland since kahn.

Hats off Bayern you guys wanted it more & once Pepe screwed us I had a feeling it was over. Rag on Ronaldo all you want but without him our team probably doesn't even make it this far or win La Liga. Ramos shouldn't even have been shooting that pk tbh.

My question is why the **** is Ramos shooting that PK? Why not Higuain or Ozil?

I'm rooting for Chelsea now. **** Bayern now lol. I'd like to see Chelsea finally get a champions league title I guess.

Oh and Gomez was absolutely terrible. He should've had a hat trick.

Might throw a couple of bucks down on Chelsea since after this game, the odds should be heavily in favor of Bayern.

He was pretty damn dominant for Schalke for his last few seasons there. The way he played for them when he single handedly willed them deep into the CL and his run with the National side in 2010 are deserving of the highest praise. If he's that good consistently once he settles in at Bayern, he will put himself into that next Oliver Kahn talk. It's premature now, but I can see why people would jump the gun as he really was playing as well as any Goalie I've seen since Ollie, that last season at Schalke.

Everyone hates Gomez. He's like a rich man's Peter Crouch, which only makes him more frustrating.

Ozil got subbed off. I would rather save defenders for last....not the biggest kick of the entire season lol.

Absolutely not, Joe Hart is an incredible goalkeeper and I really have to question your judgement with that.

All though to be fair he seems to be arguing that people who say that Neuer's already Kahn 2.0 are ones who over-rate him. He admits that Neuer's in that group with Casillas, Cech, Handanovic, etc. that can each be labeled best in the world and it wouldn't be insane.

BTW Just wanted to comment on how impressed I've been by Bayern's backline of late. Boateng is really settling in on the inside and looks like he's going to be fantastic, Alaba was phenomenal and Badstuber's pretty good when teams are unable to take advantage of how damn slow he is, kinda like a better passing Mertesacker, I think there's a good chance they sign Dante away from Monchengladbach or Geromel from Koeln.

Besides another depth Wingback and a third starting caliber Centerback like Dante, I think they need another defensive mid, so that Gustavo isn't their only defense first option at the pivot, and another playmaking 10, with Gomez's lack of skills and Robben's solo style of play, they really need someone to help Schweini link the back 6 with the front 4, that's why they are so much better with Kroos in the middle than Mueller.

I would love to see Bayern try and pull off a double raid of Napoli for Hamsik and Cavani, especially if Robben forces his way out of Munchen and they can find a sucker for Gomez. With Ribery, Mueller and Shaquiri they'd still be strong on the wing, Hamsik and Kroos ensure you've always got playmaker in the middle of the front 4. Cavani up front is a wealthy man's Olic, who I've always felt they play better with than they do with Gomez, and they still have Gomez 2.0 in Pederson for when they want a big stronger runner to bounce the ball into the net off of.

alaba impressed me today. and napoli better not get raided. i wanna see cavani and hamsik in a big market club but not bayern!

petersen is useless. gomez has been fine in the bayern system. all they really need is a presence as a playmaker.

Eh, I think Gomez hurts them against top teams. He's great against lesser teams where his physical presence and work rate will get him multiple easy chances, but he's still not very good on the ball and wastes too many of those chances he fights so hard to earn. The team looked so much more fluid when it was Olic up front in place of Gomez. Especially with a score first winger like Robben. Adding a guy like Cavani would be absolutely perfect for them against top teams as he would do much more to create scoring chances for Robben and Mueller.

I do agree that they need another central playmaker as Kroos is their only guy who plays like a classic ten, especially if they keep Gomez and Robben. They don't need an upgrade over Kroos, but I think that getting someone who's at least on his level would be important since Toni's also their only guy who can really fill Schweini's role as the quarterback from the deep middle.

Their defensive depth needs some help, Rafinha, Van Buyten and Contento just isn't enough cover to win a domestic title and european silverware. Plus I've never been a huge Badstuber fan and think like Gomez that he is one of their biggest concerns against top teams.

Bayern will be fine if they can just bolster their depth, but I think they could be absolutely dominant if they can get the money for that pair from Napoli, even if it cost them Robben and Gomez.

Kid's had a strong season playing central mid and on the left, but he's really settled in as the Left back and looks like he's going to have that position wrapped up for Bayern for the next decade. Kid can fly and plays some really slick balls in but his defense has really improved by leaps n bounds over the past couple seasons. Bayern's D really is shaping up nicely with Boateng starting to really play great in the middle. Him and Hummels could become an absolutely astounding pair for the national side.
