Kellen Moore

Well, it looks like we got our #3 QB for the year. I think this is a really smart move by the Lions. Given enough time to develop, I think Moore can be a solid backup in the NFL. A year from now, if he plays his cards right, he could be the #2 backup behind Stafford. I love this signing.

He was so overrated by a lot of people, that he actually became underrated by the time the draft rolled around. He lacks physical talent, but I like him more than some of the other #3 quarterbacks in the league.

Guys like Moore are annoying to have. They offer hardly anything and bring attention and annoying questions from the media, and they have vocal fans in the media that cry for them to get starts and playing time.

He is a strong student of the game which often make for good 3rd string QB's and by the way, future coaches.
He has no real physical talent but is mentally as tough as they come and will be a great locker room addition if they carry him. However, if he ever has to start more than 1 game as a Lion, it will be a sure loss.

Love this post. Plenty of praise then boom, last sentence stating that he sucks. Awesome.

Kellen is the perfect QB to come in a manage a game if Stafford goes down. He will work as hard as anyone in the locker room and he'll spend every spare minute in the film room.
Kellen has a great understanding of what a defense is trying to do on each play, pre snap and post snap. There's a reason he had a very high completion percentage and was sacked so few times in college.
True, he won't scramble for any extra yardage, he might struggle to fit the ball into tight windows down the field, and durability could be an issue if he gets banged up. His biggest knock isn't height, but arm strength and a lack of athleticism.
However, Detriot is getting a QB with intangables, football IQ, accuracy, and anticipation as good as Luck or RGIII.
If he makes the roster, Boise, ID will become Detriot West.
