Lol Loomis didn't do that **** just another disgruntled former employee

So, according to our sources, the ESPN report is based on the word of a former Saints contract employee who was fired, and possibly one or two people who worked with that contract employee, Tim Landry -- and none were able to provide proof, other than their word, that Loomis and Landry may have committed a federal crime.

Former WWL radio reporter Kenny Wilkerson confirms to FOX 8 News that Barr called him, looking for information on Sean Payton. Wilkerson tells us he gave Barr phone numbers for a number of people, including Tim Landry. Kenny Wilkerson then proceeded to mock former WWL broadcaster Buddy Diliberto's speech impediment for five minutes, finishing with "I'm just kidding, we all loved Buddy D."

Wow, that's pretty damn brutal. Hargrove suspended 8 games, Will Smith for 4 and Fujita for 3 too.
They'll all appeal, this will dominate sports media for a few weeks...blah blah. I'm beyond the point of wanting to hear about it or care anymore.

You pay someone $10,000 to injure someone and you get suspended a year. You uppercut someone like Andre Johnson did and you get a measly fine.

Hargrove got 8, why can't we ever have depth along the DL for a full season.

I'd be pretty pissed as a Saint's fan knowing it is probably a lost season for my team. The team is in shambles and they can only hope for the best.

The worst thing that's happened to them this offseason remains to be not getting Brees under a long term contract.

Probably because everyone loves to see Courtland Finnegan get his ass kicked. I wouldn't have even fined him.

I think this is a bit naive. The coaching staff is in shambles, the front office is in shambles, the defensive team is in shambles with their leaders suspended. It's not like the NFC South is a weak Division. Even with a we against them attitude, I seriously doubt the Saints make the playoffs.
Brees will be signed at some point.

except a weak uppercut in a little ****** fight isn't the same at diving at a guys knees to blow them out or go for a guys head when he has a history of concussions...

Vilma offers 10k to knock Favre out the game = 1 year suspension
Donte Stallworth DUI manslaughter = 1 year suspension
makes sense

Vilma was always going to get a year (no more, no less), and it was silly for anybody to think otherwise. It's in line with the previous precedent set with the Hornung/Karras suspensions for conduct that threatens the integrity of the game.
This is treated differently than suspensions for criminal issues.

I love the fact that Stallworth's case is apparently the bench mark and brought up any time a fan is arguing the case for his player. Apples to oranges.

It kind of does.
Those situations really are not comparable at all. Stallworth's is a legal issue, while Vilma's is directly related to playing football. The NFL is more responsible for what happens on the field than what happens in players' personal lives. Stallworth committed a criminal act and was subject to punishment by the law. Obviously the NFL still had to do something, but they aren't the ones who have the primary responsibility to punish him in that case.

And went to jail. If Vilma was going to jail, it'd be different, I could see you complaining, but would you rather have Vilma in jail AND suspended for the year?

Does anyone think the Saints could end up being like last year's Colts? Not as bad a record... but still be bad enough to get a Top 10 pick, get a top QB and trade Brees?

Stallworth killed a guy that jumped in front of him, on the highway, at like 4 in the morning. It has no bearing on this. But you're a Saints fan. Just be glad these suspensions don't really affect your team that badly.
