Saw Larry Crowne on cable last night & my God, how it sucked.
Julia Roberts is a nice looking woman, attractive in a clownish big-mouthed sort of way, but she did a checkbook performance in this one. And how did they sell it to Tom Hanks?
Hollywood tries to do a contemporary slice of life (in the San Fernando Vly) piece on the New Austerity in the ongoing recession/depression & glosses over ugly underbelly of losing your job & house for low comedy, a happy go lucky biker gang on mopeds & scooters? Gimme a break! Bryan Cranston was completely wasted in a supporting role, I couldnt even finish it, ugh! Tasteless!!

Is it just me or does anyone else think that's JGL in the bat suit?
ALOT of rumors going around like this right now. Everything from JGL taking over Batmans role while he is out of commission (happened in the comics this was with Jean Paul) to Bane being a resurrected Ras. I think the first one has some merit but the second sounds unlikely despite Liam being in the movie in some shape or form.

I just thought Batman looked a little skinnier in the trailer then what I remember. I could be totally wrong though.

My prediction, based on what happens in some comics, the cast, and my opinion:
Liam Neeson reprises his role with Bane being his protege after Batman abandons him. The League of Shadows (the place where Bruce Wayne was trained in Batman Begins) is rebuilt and Bane was being trained when Ras was killed in Gotham. Bane then arrives at Gotham to complete what Ras couldn't: create mass chaos and kill Batman.
From the trailer, we see that he releases inmates (just like in Batman Begins), destroys the bridges, locking people in (just like in the first one, where the only person who could go in and out of Gotham was Batman), and just making mass chaos everywhere. Exploding the field, killing cops, etc. Basically what the Joker was doing, but on a much larger scale. I think Batman fights him a couple times, but he is just overpowered, as he was trained by the man who trained Batman and thus knows how to defeat him. Bane also knows Batman's real identity. Batman and Catwoman team up to try and defeat Bane, but Bane breaks Batman's back, rendering him useless.
That where JGL comes in. He becomes the new, temporary Batman, and with Catwoman's help, they finally defeat Batman. Ultimately, Bruce Wayne can no longer be Batman.
I also think that Marion Cotilliard is Thalia Al'Ghul (Ras' daughter) and the Lazarus Pit makes an appearace. Bane becomes the bulging beast he is through the Lazarus Pit (he's already strong throughout the film, but the Pit is like the steroids or the serum he pumps become even more powerful), and either JGL or Christian Bale use it to fight him. It could also be used to heal Bruce Wayne from his injuries.

well it was already confirmed no steroid or venom like serum will be used for Bane, plus I think with the title and with the comics Bruce is ultimately going to come back as batman and take Bane down. Now to what extent is Ras in it? I don't know but I do think it's obvious Talia is going to be in it. Christ this movie just looks so awesome, I sincerely hope it can break the mold of sub par to terrible 3rd movies in a trilogy and be right on par with TDK and BB. It would go down as probably my favorite trilogy of all time if Nolan can get this right.
Ehhh. Nolan and Cotillard have been pretty adamant that she will not be playing Talia and that her character is a completely original creation. I guess it could be a smokescreen, but I doubt it. Talia could be in the movie, but I really don't think Cotillard will be playing her is she is.
Look at it this way, if Rodgers had Allstate instead of State Farm, he'd be protected from mayhem like this

I'm not going until Saturday, but I'm doing IMAX/3D with about 10 of my friends. IMAX has assigned seating, we booked an entire row. I'm pretty stoked.

Yeah the second I get out of my final I will be heading over to the theater to make sure i dont get ****** with my seats. No better time to study then when you have nothing better to do than sit in line waiting for hours to be seated in the theater - so really waiting that long will have nice benefits for me for tomorrows final.

I'm doing the same thing except Friday night instead.

We almost went to the 8 show at Gloucester on Friday, but we couldn't get enough seats in a row without sitting right up against the screen, which in IMAX is the size of a ******* skyscraper. We decided to have a big BBQ Saturday afternoon before heading there that night.

Do you guys think getting there at 9:30 is early enough? A friend and I went to Dark Knight 15 minutes and still got some pretty good seats so I think we'll be ok.
