VY is terrible. There would never be a controversy unless Fitzpatrick looked like a concussed Trent Edwards.

If he's willing you bring him on as a reclamation project because he fits the scheme. Let him fight Thigpen for the backup role and when he losses out you just start rebuilding him like you would a rookie. See if Gailey can't mold him into something and if Fitz goes down for any really time, where you'd be starting Thigpen for more than a game or two, you pull VY out and see if he's made any progress, but otherwise I'd rather have Thigpen holding the clipboard on Sundays cause I think he's more reliable if Fitzy gets knocked out of a game.

Do whatever you want at QB depth, as far as I'm concerned. It's not going to get worse. Thigpen and Corp? Terrible.

Andy Levitre is probably the most likable athlete in Buffalo. Just putting that out there.

I would like the Young signing if it is possible. He at least gives you a shot if Fitzpatrick goes down with an injury. Thigpen is nothing but a 3rd string talent.

Dray Flo is gone. We got a young bunch at corner, that's for sure.

He will be back day 1 of TC when McGee blows his knee walking onto the field.

I love seeing the random rookie tryouts. Byron Mulkey and Alex Tanney. Why not.

I'm not sure how I feel about this....I feel like his vet presence could have been useful for at least this season.

Apprently Kellen Winslow JR. was on the block, would anyone have been interested in seeing in Buffalo next year?
I'd give up a 6th and see what happens myself, although apparently Seattle gave up a 7th, which could turn into a 6th based on performance.
Missed oppurtunity or good pass?

I would have taken a chance on K-2. Buddy hates dealing picks though.

One NFL personnel source tells Thesidelineview.com's Adam Caplan that his team put the brakes on pursuing a trade for Kellen Winslow after reviewing his 2011 game film.
"We just didn't think he could be more than a rotational player at this point (in his career) after examining his tape and performance," said the personnel source. That opinion was obviously the majority around the league, as Winslow fetched just a seventh-round pick entering his age-29 season. After six knee surgeries, Winslow's playmaking ability has all but evaporated. May 22 - 5:09 PM

Nix does like his draft picks, unless he wants to jump a team looking at a punter, for a WR who would more than likely been there at the Bills pick, two picks later...
I have seen several people, or media reports stating that his injury history is catching up to Winslow, and looking at his stats, especially explosive type plays, I would have to agree, but the guy was still 7th in receptions last year amongst tight ends, and 13th in yards. Is that kind of production better worth a 6th or 7th, even if he is a rotational player at this point?

Draft picks being overvalued is my new pet peeve in the NFL as a whole. I swear, if I was a GM I would trade so many picks. Two 3rd rounders for Brandon Marshall? Seriously...sign me the **** up! This stuff happens all the time too.

Marshall is a Terrell Owens clone. That never shows up in the stats but he is a real Cancer on a football team. That's why it only cost Chicago 2 thirds. Nobody really wants the guy on their football team for more than a year.

I would agree in general, a proven commodity for a 6th round pick who is overwhelmingly likely to bust and never porduce at all. I love the draft, but dont understand the love affair with coveting picks like the league does myself.

i thought Jimmy Johnson, the ex Cowboys HC, summed it up best, the draft is a total crap shoot and the best way to insure success is to have as many picks in each round as you can get.
Most trades today are cap related and have little to do with talent. If you cannot fit a veteran under your cap in his declining years, you will have to cut him anyways so any pick is going to be better than nothing.
Marshall is an exception but we have very little understanding of Cancer in your dressing room and how it affects a team. It is pretty obvious when a star is traded for nothing that there is a serious problem with his attitude. 30 teams could have made a better offer for Marshall but none were forthcoming, which speaks volumes about his character.

I know this is nothing new, but we really need some emergence at the #2 WR spot. It would just be so huge for this offense, along with Glenn being a LT. I'm freaking out already and NHL free agency hasn't even started yet. This year is going to kill me.

Its been 10 years since Peerless Price and the Bills had an actual #2 receiver. They're due.

Easley and Graham seem to be having an alright camp, so far. Want to see more from Graham in full pads, but they are doing as well as you could hope in that muddled group. Stevie, Nelson, Jones, and Graham should be locks for the team. Do we expect one of Easley/Hagan and maybe somebody more capable on ST? Can't wait to see how they fare in preseason. Especially Easley. 9 days!
