Seems weird to me that they are re-booting it so soon. It's not like with Hulk where the first movie sucked so they tried again.

The third movie was an abortion.
1st Hulk >>> SpiderMan 3

Will The Dark Knight Rises beat the ridiculous weekend gross of 207.4 million that the Avengers made?

No it wont. I have been saying to my friends for awhile it just isn't getting the hype or publicity it needs to get people to flock to it like the Avengers did. Theyve done a pretty terrible job in that department despite the new trailer being awesome. I'm an avid batman fan so I'll flock to it, but I just dont think the same can be said for all the people who went to the avengers. So long as it is a solid movie I'll be happy tho, really wont matter what the total gross of it is the first weekend for me.

There's still two and a half months to go. How big was The Avengers' hype three months ago? Dark Knight rises will surpass the avengers.

DKR won't beat out the Avengers solely because it won't be shown in 3D. I think more people will go see Batman but Avengers will make more money.

I don't think TDKR will beat Avengers solely because Avengers is every geeks wish come true. Multiple heroes all in one movie.

They don't want the rights to go back to Marvel. It was a good business decision. They essentially had to make another movie involving Spiderman.

Probably not. I'm guess it beats Harry Potter, but I don't think it's going to beat The Avengers.

Avengers has been getting hyped for like the past six years, where have you been? Every movie they have put out has hinted towards it, and Iron Man was nothing more than a giant advertisement for the avengers (I was very disappointed in that movie). Most people on here have even stated they have been disappointed with the way they have released news and material on the movie, I just don't think its going to beat the avengers. It isn't in 3-D and it isn't getting the hype the avengers has.

3-D should die in a fire, but at the end of the day all I care about is TDKR being ******* awesome, if it beats the avengers great but I just want an awesome end to Nolans batman universe. Thankfully Nolan knows better than to add in the 3-D gimmick, although I didn't think Avengers was that terrible, it certainly wasn't mind blowing 3-D either.

Movie tickets are already expensive as it is, **** paying an extra $4 for stupid 3-D glasses that most stupid people dump back in the "recycle bin" after using them anyway. **** that, i paid for them once and i kept them, just out of spite.

I just go to the 2D versions of them, and save $2.50. Since I usually go to matinee shows anyway, it's only $5 and thus a success.

Are you factoring in how much you are paying for your imaginary movie friend?

Even on 'Cheap Tuesday' for students, I still have to pay like 12/13 bucks. When it isn't cheap I think its like 15-18.

More importantly, did your father like it?

Yes Brent. They certainly do. I'm probably going back to see the Avengers for a second time in the morning. Only six bucks.

He said it was the best comic book movie he's ever seen. He's a huge Avengers fan. He still reads the comics.
