Dave Rayner is visiting today. He's a kicker.

Matt Roth is also visiting. Hmm. That'd be interesting IMO.

Let's not forget that Longwell spent the bulk of his career with the Packers kicking on the "Frozen Tundra" that is Lambeau Field, so I don't think the elements here would bother him much.
Now, having said that, I agree that the main issue is his age and even though he did make 8 FGs of 40+ last year, including 2 over 50, at 37 I'm pretty sure those numbers will continue to decline.

Willie Colon officially said he's moving to LG. That means Gilbert/Adams-Colon-Pouncey-DeCastro-Adams/Gilbert.
I'm giddy. Colon was OK with the move, loves the fit, and was called after the draft to see if he was OK with it. I love it.

colon at guard solidifies that we will have the best 5 linemen on the field

I think all of you that have been talking about moving Colon to guard, these past years, deserve some acknowledgement!
A lot of people said it would never happen.

I think Starks is going to be our LT this season.

i think starks is either the LT and they put Gilbert at RT permanently and groom adams to take over LT or Gilbert on the left and Adams on the right and they switch next year

Love moving Colon to guard. The inside of the line should be solid. But this really makes me hate our depth at tackle. Adams and Gilbert both have tons of potential, but should something happen to one of them do you really want to see Scott or Essex playing tackle? I don't. Get Max Starks signed as soon as he's healthy enough after his injury. Starks signing gives us a very legitimate line no matter which tackles start. Gives us a good third tackle and Legursky is solid depth inside at any position.

Colon will be the swing man. Essex won't touch tackle. Scott might.

I think this is how the depth chart will play out:
T:
Mike Adams
Marcus Gilbert
Max Starks
G:
Willie Colon
David DeCastro
Ramon Foster
Trai Essex
C:
Maurkice Pouncey
Doug Legursky
Trevis Turner is an intriguing guy who could be our back-up RT only. Chris Scott could also push to make the team along with Beachum. I ideally would like Beachum to make the team and Legursky to get cut.

LOVE this move. Colon is a nasty player, perfect at guard!

I hope Todd Haley bring the Todd of 2008 from AZ and not the one from the Chiefs.
2008 AZ team was very explosive.

Helps that he had Kurt Warner and not Matt Cassel.

Good coordinators or coaches hide players weakness and play to their strengths. One of the reason's why our defense is so good.
Orton and McD, who would have thought he would have pro bowl like numbers.
Cassel is a game manager play to those strenghts don't make him air it out 30 times a game.

he turned KC into a ground game phenom, he works with what he has....and with us thats a little bit of everything. a badass oline, a top QB, a top passing attack, and a dismally below average group of RBs

I think Dwyer is going to surprise the team and end up the starting RB by mid season at the latest.

Forget the idea of Trevis Turner making the team. He just got waived.
