Big vs. Small
This thread was inspired by the College vs. threads. My question is which one do you take? Im gunna open the poll after we agree on the line-ups. I had trouble with the O-lines.... and I think yall could do a much better job than me.I would like this list to be the actual smallest/biggest player (not the best) at their position that starts, or at least gets a lot of playing time
Team Small
QB- Mike Vick
RB- Darren Sproles
WR- Steve Smith
WR- Desean Jackson
WR- Wes Welker
TE- Aaron Hernadez
T- Jordan Gross
G- Evan Mathis
C- Jordan Kelce
G- Ryan Lilja
T- ?
DE- Robert Mathis
DT- Jay Ratliff
DT- Karl Klug
DE- Dwight Freeny
LB- Lawrence Timmons
MLB- London Fletcher
LB- Wesley Woodyard
CB- Brent Grimes
CB- Cortland Finnegan
S- Earl Thomas
S- Antoine Bethea
Team Big-
QB- Joe Flacco
RB- Brandon Jacobs
WR- Calvin Johnson
WR- Vincent Jackson
TE- Leonard Pope
TE- Rob Gronkowski
LT- Jared Gaither
LG- Carl Nicks
C- David Baas
RG- Mike Iupati
RT- Phil Loadholt
DE- Haloti Ngata
DT-Terrence Cody
DE- Calais Campbell
OLB- Terrell Suggs
MLB- Brian Urlacher
MLB- Brandon Spikes
OLB- LaMarr Woodley
CB- Sean Smith
CB- Brandon Browner
S- Adrian Wilson
S- Kam Chancellor

A few things before we really get started. I love Sproles, but let's have MJD as the starting RB.
Greg Jennings is still 5'11" 200. Let's go DeSean Jackson who's what 5'9" 180?
For LBer for the smalls its a bit decieving, Dumervil is small for a 4-3 DE but not really for a 3-4 OLB except in height. Harrison is shorter than most, but still 6"
I'm not really sure how at 6'1" 205 Charles Woodson is considered large, Nnamdi or Brandon Browner may have been better selection there.
Are we trying to just go some of the biggest and smallest, or is it best player as well? Jake Long isn't that big for a LT, Jared Gaither and Nate Solder may be better picks
EDIT: sorry read and saw why you had Sproles and not MJD. I need to read it all before I post

Biggest and smallest, not the best player. Some good work there though, Im gunna edit the line-up.

-Brandon Jacobs biggest RB easily at 6'4" 265.
-DeSean Jackson at 5'9" 180 is smaller than Jennings.
-Brandon Banks at 5'6" 150 is smallest than almost anybody, but doesn't get many snaps at WR only as RS
-Jason Kelce probably smallest center overall at 6'3" 282
-Small LB Wesley Woodyard at 6" 229, could probably at Sean Spence to that list at 5'11" 230 unless we think of someone else
Kind of hard cuz are we considering just guys that are overall short and skinny or just either? I know Jake Scott was one of the smaller Guards in the NFL at 282 but he's still 6'5

I guess we could take either, but if we had a tie we could just take the best player (ex- taller and lighter vs heavier and shorter)

Are you looking for good players who are big/small or are you actually looking for the smallest players at each spot?
If you're looking for the smallest players the Eagles have some really tiny guys. Dion Lewis is 5'6" and 193 pounds. Jason Kelce was 6'2" and 280. Brian Rolle is 5'9" and 230. Chad Hall is 5'7" and 185 pounds.
Brandon Banks and Danny Woodhead are two small guys who come to mind immeadiately. Banks was 5'6.5" and 149 pounds at the combine. Woodhead was 5'7.5" and 197 at the combine.
As far as big guys there is a guy who I think is with the Chiefs now, Ropati Pitoitua. He's extremely tall. He was 6'7" at the combine and he's listed at 315.
King Dunlap is absolutely monstrous. Perhaps the biggest guy in the NFL. Listed at 6'9" and 330 pounds. He's freakin' huge. He and Phil Loadholt have to be the biggest offensive tackles in the league.
I also nominate Michael Jasper who was 6'4" and 394 pounds at his pro-day.

Some of these guys dont qualify cuz they dont get enough snaps. But I did forget about Loadholt, i think he'd get it over Solder, although Solder is about an inch taller, loadholt weighs alot more at 343 compared to 315

Navarro Bowman or Desmond Bishop at OLB? Bowman is 2 inches shorter, Bishop is about 5-6 pounds lighter.

Leonard Pope may need added at TE he's 6'8" 264.
Joe Flacco is bigger than Big Ben, listed at 6'6" 245 compared to Bens 6'5" 241.
We need to think of a better LBer than Desmond Bishop, he's 6'2" 238. Also, Urlacher is 6'4" 258 bigger than Spikes 6'2' 250

I forgot that Madden actually does a good job on listed height and weights (about all they do well). Good Idea, getting on now.

Flacco makes team Brees win almost regardless of the other players. Him and Big Ben are almost the same size, can't we just pick Ben and make it actually interesting?

According to my research, Ben isn't even close.
1. Joe Flacco 6063 245
2. Josh Freeman 6056 248
3.Matt Schaub 6055 241
4. John Skelton 6053 243
5. Cam Newton 6050 248
6. Ben Roethlisberger 6047 241
7. Carson Palmer 6050 236

4 pounds and 1.5 inches, is not exactly not even close. Flacco's taller, but Ben's thicker.
