I'm definitely rooting for LA, but I don't dislike the makeup of either East team, and I'm a big fan of both coaches. The fans, on the other hand...

I couldn't care who wins as long as one of the American players has a HUGE series and it can help build hockey in America. It is damn near non existent here in Cincinnati if you dont look for it.

That's a shame. There have been a couple of colleges with success in the state, but the only pro team is awful and has only existed for a little over a decade. You'd like to see it be a great state for growth based on location.

Columbus has an emerging hockey scene. Connor Murphy was drafted last year so I expect that if the Jackets rebound as they should, the state will follow suit.

Scotty is in a foreign country, Chris is probably dead, and now I'm the only de-facto Devils fan left. Unsettling.

This series will result in just the second American captain hoisting the Stanley Cup.
Trivia: Who was the first? (don't look it up)

Derian Hatcher. That ************ hit people HARD.
Side note, does anyone remember the commentary from NHL '99? I was at someone's house for a party and they had it on N64 and I played it the entire night while everyone else was playing beer pong. I laugh so hard everytime the commentator says the last names. "LIDSTROM!" "NIEDERMAYER!" "TKACHUK!" Guy, you don't have to yell at me.

The lockout came at a good time. The Wings signing of Derian Hatcher was wiped away by the buyout clause.
When he tore his ACL after like 4 games, though, that was probably a big reason for why he sucked.
