Quinn's there to hold the clipboard. His place as the #3 QB is pretty well cemented. He'll probably be the #2 on game days because of the weird rules the NFL has for QBs, but if Cassel gets hurt, we'll more likely see Stanzi start the next week and beyond until Cassel is back. Mid-game situation, though...it's Quinn for now.

What weird rules? It used to be that the 3rd string QB could be inactive and still come in if the first two were hurt, but now teams just get an extra active player.

Throwing the ball exactly where you want is only useful if you know where the ball should go. That's tricky when you have athletic defenders that can run a wide range of complex defenses. Linemen about to hit you and forcing passes earlier then you want.
