Percy Harvin Requests Trade
He's not happy in Minnesota.
Do you think they'll actually entertain offers for one of the most unique explosive players in the league?
If so, to what team and for what compensation? He would be an asset to literally every single team in the league.
If I was a GM, I'd give a 2nd for him in a heartbeat.

The Jets were actually one of the first teams I thought of.
A) They aren't shy about trading for veteran players.
B) They don't have much talent at WR.
C) He'd be a force next to his old college QB in special packages out of the backfield, in the slot, etc.
D) He's a better RUNNING BACK than Shonn Green.

I don't think the Vikings will trade him, but if they do, I think they could get at least a first-round pick and maybe a third-rounder as well. Harvin is only 24 years old and has already shown that he is a dynamic playmaker. The team trading for him will likely have to sign him to a lucrative contract extension as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he signed for 5-$50.

He's under contract, won't be traded. He's labor, they don't get what they want.

I wouldn't want to give the Vikings a premium pick, give him a new contract, and then deal with the migraine issue all the time.

I am really wondering what all of the "issues" are. Some have reported it is not money related but clearly that has to be part of it. Other than that, whether its the direction of the team, his role, both, or whatever it is I just hope they can get it worked out quickly. I doubt they will trade him, but having him holding out/pissed off isn't any better.

Harvin on the Patriots has always been a wet dream of mine. If it happened, oh baby.

Just another contract move. I thought we were done with these kind of shenanigans with Harvin. He better not be asking for DeSean money.

Why wouldn't he? He is a better version of DeSean and more valuable to his team with no other WRs on his team. The only other offensive weapon on his team is AP who is hurt, he is easily one of the most valuable players on his team with no replacement. DeSean had Vick, McCoy, and Maclin all ahead of him on offense and still got big money. Harvin will get paid or he will holdout.
Honestly, I would love to see him on the Texans. Could you imagine how explosive that team would be. It would help Foster and Andre put up incredible numbers

Hey we can't draft them so might as well jump on em when we get the chance. Harvin would be perfect here.

Yeah, and Harvin is nowhere near good enough to pull a TO and force his way out of town. They'd probably let him sit out the year before they'd cave into his request.
I know it's the offseason and that he's a dynamic player, but lets not go nuts. We're talking about a guy who might be a top-20 WR.

I was thinking the same thing the other day, but here's a stat I found pretty interesting...
players with 1300+ yards (rushing & receiving), 80+ receptions, 8+ touchdowns last season:
Calvin Johnson, Wes Welker, Victor Cruz, Larry Fitzgerald, Rob Gronkowksi, Jimmy Graham, Darren Sproles, and Percy Harvin. Ray Rice was 4 receptions shy, Roddy White was 4 yards shy.
Pretty elite company. Of course I'm a Florida homer, but it's still pretty impressive.
And no, I don't believe Harvin is a #1 receiver, but neither are Welker/Cruz and they're doing just fine.

He wants to be paid.

The migraine situation makes him a risky proposition. Giving up a premium pick (or picks) and signing him to a long term deal is far from desirable, even if he is a 24 year old talented player.
