why should the bay area get another team when they already have 4 teams???? how could they make anymore money? IMO they should host aleast one big game here in Canada and see what the outcome is then if its good they should move to Canada.

The bay area has 2 teams.
As long as my eyes are working properly, I didn't see anybody say they deserve another.

I would love to see a NFL franchise in Toronto. We need a new stadium thought. I believe that the biggest obstacle in the face of an NFL team in Canada is the NFL wanting all their teams in America. I'm sure Toronto could sell out 8 home games a year.

Yeah, but i dont know if I would support Philly or Toronto more. Probably Philly until they win a superbowl. But they say it will never happen because the NFL is funded off commercials and a whole bunch of crap.

Noone wants a team in Canada. It never works out. Weve tried NBA teams there and over half the time they end up moving back. Canada supports HOCKEY not Football. Most of Canada is Europeans which still think Football = Soccer.

Why should LA get a team? Theyve messed up everyopne thevye had, no third and fourth chances.

Give it to Oklahoma

Las vaegas? Are you guys serious? Its bad enough we have all these thug players who fight in casinoes, we dont need a team located down the street.

Apparently people DO want a team in Canada from the poll results.

I agree with LA.

Oklahoma is 2nd to SA.

wow wow wow wow

'Soccer' as you call it, originated in medieval times in Europe, and has been officially active as a sport since then. First official rules are the Cambridge rules, most of which are still active to this day. Cambridge Rules were written up in 1848. It's the older sport and has always been called 'football'.

The fact that you guys call your Football football doesn't mean that we're wrong. America does not rule the world and it's not just because you ppl can't think of an original name for a sport that the rest of the world is wrong in calling it that.

Really on a global level Football (soccer) = infinately > than American Football. So don't say we're wrong.

Soccer is football. Hell even Rugby is closer to football than your Football.

They should stay how they are. 32 teams, that's 4 teams in 4 divisions in 2 conferences. Perfect, and if they added one or 2 more the scheduling would be screwed up and there would be uneven divisions again.

I really don't think that the NFL need's to expand for a while but if they were going to i'd have to say Toronto. It's one of the biggest cities in North America and has proven it can support proffesional franchises. If they brought a team to Toronto I guarantee it would draw fans from all over Canada to the games and it would have no problem selling out 8 games. A new stadium would be necesarry though.

Congratulations, you win the most ignorant post in this thread dumbass.

I think the league is good as it is, with 32 teams spread evenly across the league. But if one of these franchises were to falter than.....

.....if that happens I think Toronto has to be the front runner for the next NFL franchise. I feel as if the Toronto Raptors have done a good job, particularly the past year or two, about eliminating any myths about Canada being an inferior place for an athlete to play/live. With a population of over 5 million in the metropolitan area, the fan base is certainly big enough, and the TV ratings should be sufficient as they are only Canadian team [TV audience of 30-35 million].

Now there are a few problems I see arising for a franchise in Toronto. Will peoples loyalty to the CFL [and/or the current CFL franchsie in Toronto] hinder NFL development in Canada, and, considering most NFL fans in Canada already have a team that they follow religously, will they switch their allegience to a new Toronto franchise? Whoever the new owners are would need to be patient and to build the new fan base. It takes time [ex. Toronto Raptors] to build a healthy franchise.

Good post, but I think one thing that would help is that the CFL and NFL start about 7-8 weeks apart which would make it a lot easier for people to remain loyal to both the CFL and NFL teams. Just as soon as the NFL starts to get interesting and you start to get an idea of who's in the playoffs or not, the CFL is finishing up.

But, if were gonna grow. it goes, in order, VaBeach-Tidewater-Newport News-Hampton Roads CDP, LA, Vegas and that's it. Mind you that all of those are still bigger than green bay.
