looks like hump won't come back because he wants too much (which is a shame because we need someone to get rebounds)
Green and Brooks on the bench give us a nice SG/SF depth and talent all around

"League source tells Y! that Joe Johnson deal now likely "happens with or without Deron." Nets officials are meeting with Williams right now."

nets gonna pull the "look, we just got JJ and have Bropez and Brooks and are better win-now and win-later than Dallas" card

Bropez, Wallace and Brooks are better than everyone else on Dallas.
Mainly, we need to bring Krstic for frontcourt depth, toughness and rebounding

Bropez sucks, if anyone knows it, it's Deron. And Wallace hasn't stolen your $40M yet.

Bropez is still better than Marion's corpse of anyone else on Dallas.
And Wallace is still a pretty good player, top 10 SF, regardless of price tag (which I still don't like, overpaid, but still)

Don't you have Humphries' Bird Rights? If so, you can go over the cap to bring him back.

The Magic are gonna take whatever they can get, Howard has given them little to no leverage.

Magic apparently wouldn't even do trade talks with the Nets. Nets inside guy said "they won't dance with us"

I'm not sure what his price tag is, but Billy King was saying that he needs to lower his price tag if he wants to come back

nets literally only have Bropez, future picks, trade exception and Brooks to deal. Not much and no cap space to take on Orlando's garbage. Orlando needs to find their best deal, ship Dwight and rebuild.
Nets need to find someone who can rebound. Right now, Wallace is our best rebounder

They should just do what the Knicks did to Marbury, and don't let him play.

And no one is gonna trade anything of substance for a one year, or half year rental. You may as well get Lopez/Brooks cause i doubt anyone will offer more than that.

hahaha i actually lol'd at that. it's sad but true. and hilarious.
oh billy king. oh well, i guess a 5 seed with a 2nd round exit for 3 years is better than constant ineptitude, but not quite bad enough to get a stud in the draft, right?

Anyone wanting to pick up Johnson's gargantuan contract is astounding to me. Why in the world would you want to have that albatross on your payroll? That's not to say Johnson is a bad player, but good lord look at that money.
