How early do you people go to the movie theater before your movie starts? Especially if it's a big movie? If it's a big movie like the The Dark Knight or whatever and it's opening night I'll usually go two or three hours before it starts to make sure I don't get some terrible seats. Even if it's a semi-popular movie I'll at least be there an hour in advance.
I always chuckle to myself when I'm in the theater and it's pretty packed and I see some people towards the bottom of the stairwell come in when the movie is about to start, look up, and have a confused look on their face when they see a mountain of people occupying the seats. Like, WTF did you think was going to happen? The seats were going to be empty? There are even certain people I absolutely refuse to go to movies with because they like to do some activity right before the movie, assuming there will be enough time, and end up getting there 5 minutes before it starts.
I rarely go to night movies anymore because of the large crowds and the expensive prices though.

I'd rather wait a few weeks to see it than get there 3 hours early. I'll go a bit early if it's a free "overbooked" preview screening. I saw Dark Knight on opening night and didn't get there so long before it started, but did give it a little time to be safe. I don't live in a major city, though, and there are only so many major releases that I feel compelled to see right away.

I live in a pretty small town. I show up no sooner than 15 minutes early to any movie, and still get my snacks in time.

My theatre has assigned seats that you choose when you buy your ticket so I never have to show up early. You can also drink while watching the moive. For the Dark Knight Rises, I plan on showing up for a 12:10 showing a midnight, grab a beer, and then find my assigned seat.
But I did see Batman Begins and the Dark Knight midnight showings. I showed up about two hours early and got decent seats (not the best, but at least not the first few rows) both times.

The Ted Facebook page is the best use of FB Timeline that I've seen. The timeline goes all the way back to Ted's birthday on December 25, 1985. It's pretty funny, too.

I really liked Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, for those that might be moderately interested.

When you say you liked it, was it really funny or more just amusing?

It's not really funny, but it's not supposed to be. There's amusing little jokes here and there, but it plays it straight for the most part. Carell/Knightley just had good chemistry.

so it's a serious film? I was under the impression it was a comedy-drama

It has elements of a comedy, and I guess it's a comedy-drama. But it's serious enough for the most part.

Is Interview With a Vampire worth my time? Is it more of a horror or just regular drama with a vampire twist?

Just got back from the Amazing Spiderman. Meh. Fun, but very meh. Except for Emma Stone.

Ted was hilarious, but the end dragged on a little and became somewhat cliché.

Begrudgingly, I'm seeing it tonight. I'm not expecting much. I think the fact that they are remaking Spider-Man just five years after the previous series ended without a drastic change in tone or to put it into the Avengers is stupid. Plus, there are scenes in the trailers that look like carbon copies from the previous films. But my wife is a big Spider-Man fan so I'm going.

I'm going to see it tonight and expect it to be 1643516846316984635163 times better than SpiderMan 3.
Actually, I've done the math and there's no way that it can't be. SM3 was that terrible.

Back from seeing Spider-Man and thought it was pretty good. Out of the 4 Spider-Man movies would rate it right after the first Spider-Man movie of other series. Peter Parker is no doubt a different kind of guy then what we were used to the other movies. Like how they are going by the comics though. Bringing the old school back.
Also, should I have stayed after the credits or? Was there more?

Just got back from Spider-Man as well. It is definitely better than the third. I think it was probably the best of the four recent incarnations (although I'm going to go back and watch Spider-Man 1 to compare). I'm actually excited to see where they take the rest of the series. I'm also going to start reading the Spider-Man comics. I've been a Batman comic guy my entire life, but if this series is going to follow comics more realistically, I want to read them.

Yes, there was something during the credits. It hinted at the next villain. Unfortunately, I haven't read the comics so I'm not sure who it will be.
