Good luck with that. I hope a team offers the maximum just to **** with him. I also hope that team is somehow the Lakers, because Lin isn't that good and then no matter what I'll hate the team that gets stuck with him.

"Steve Nash is allowing the Knicks time to create a sign-and-trade deal that would be acceptable to the Suns while also getting him a higher salary, according to a source."

I am not a fan of it but I am have just grown to accept the fact that Dolan will do things that continue to sabotage The Knicks at just about every turn.

Atlanta needs to offer this:
Dwight Howard(1 yr/19.2 mil)
Hedo Turkoglu(2 yrs/23.6 mil, 11.4 mil 2012)
Total Cap # 2012: 30.6 mil
for
Al Horford(4 yrs/48 million, 12 mil 2012)
Devin Harris(1yr/8.5 mil)
Johan Petro(1 yr/3.5 mil)
Zaza Pachulia(1 yr/5.2 mil)
John Jenkins
2013 First Round Pick(f/Hou- Lottery Protected)
2013 First Round pick(ATL)
2015 First Round Pick Unprotected(ATL)
Total Cap # 2012: 30.2 mil
Trade would give the Hawks a big 3 of Teague, Smoove and D12.
Sets up for the following 2013 contracts:
Dwight Howard Max(18 mil year 1)
Josh Smith(5 years/80 mil, 14 mil year 1)
Jeff Teague(4 years/40 million extension 9 mil year 1)
These are the only guys they'd have on contract, would allow them to offer James Harden a max contract and get a starting SF.

Where do I sign?
Don't want to go after Harden though. That's Joe Johnson's max deal all over again. Good player, but not worth the money.

I read that but I have also read the quotes from Nash about how he would not like to be a Laker and it would feel weird wearing a Laker uni.
Shumpert is as good as gone now in any S&T for Nash which sucks.

The Rockets owned Asia for a while with Yao, time to reclaim it.
Shame Lin isnt even remotely close to being as decent as Yao was.

James Harden max though would be an average of 14.5 mil a year

Being anti Miami though I am rooting for NJ to pull it off because Deron, JJ, Wallace, and Howard are perfect compliments.

They aren't NJ anymore. haha.
I wouldn't root against it either. It's a fantastic thought! It's just not gonna happen.

So their only perimeter player would be Teague? Erm.

That Anthony Morrow fella is a pretty good shooter I heard. They could also get in the Courtney Lee race.

Suns officially sign Gordon to a max offer sheet, Hornets have 3 days to match
"After visiting the Suns, the impression the organization made on me was incredible," Gordon said in a prepared statement. "Mr. Sarver, Lon Babby, Lance Blanks, the front office staff and Coach Gentry run a first-class organization, and I strongly feel they are the right franchise for me. Phoenix is just where my heart is now."

If New Orleans doesn't match, that's a nice pick up for the Suns and gives K Marsh a nice shooter to pass to.

Courtney Lee is a solid defender who was one of the best 3 point shooters in the league last year and pretty much consistently his career has been a good 3 point and free throw shooter. If Landry Fields got a 3 year/20 mil deal I would have no hesitation giving Lee a 3 yr/18-24 mil contract.

Looks like New Orleans is going to match the offer sheet. Not that it is of any surprise, though.
