Ya but of course now he is quoted as saying "my heart is in Phoenix". I am sure that is not going to go over well with most New Orleans fans.

If someone was going to pay me that much money, I'd probably say the same thing.

lots of people were gonna pay him that much money, but now that we have his heart we can just clone him and pay him the minimum

The Hornets will likely meet with Eric Gordon and see where he's at before deciding to match or explore a sign-and-trade.

There goes the Bert and Ernie lookalikes of Davis and Gordon. Really like the possiblilty of a Marshall and Gordon duo though, now if only they had anyone upfront.

hahahahahaaahaha.
That's funny. But honestly, you can expect the Hornets to match that.

Oh they obviously will, but the league is becoming more player-controlled, so I almost expect him to go to Phoenix where if this happened a couple of years ago I would have been shocked to see a scenario where New Orleans would let him go.

Why couldn't have Eric Gordon's heart led him to Houston? At least they have pieces to put together for a sign and trade.

Find a way to make it a 3 way deal so the Knicks can get Nash already.

Hmmm.... 3 way deal with the Raptors, Hornets, and Suns. That's a lot of sign-and-trade-age

Shumpert and Gordon for Nash, Morris and Fropez!
Marshall
Gordon - Shumpert
Dudley - Childress
Frye - Warrick
Gortat
Wouldn't be the worst offensive team ever but Shumpert is the only real defender, Dudley, Frye & Gortat effort guys

If Thompson signs, i do believe he will start, yes. Robinson would come off the bench with Isaiah Thomas (or Tyreke Evans) and they can hold down the offense with the second team. Thompson's presence down low is really important, he's a good man defender. I'm surprised he has not gotten a lot of interest in fa.

The Knicks and Nash talks heating up, supposedly there is mutual interest between Nash and the Lakers but a S&T would be required and the Suns GM supposedly doesnt want to help out the Lakers?
I understand that somewhat, but you think he would definitely help out Nash after what he did for the organization if thats ultimately where he wanted to go.

I'd rather have that be Marcus Thornton on the bench unit.
Right now I would probably do something like
1st unit
PG: Isaiah Thomas
SG: Tyreke Evans
SF: Terrence Williams (re-signed at 2 years for $4 mill each)
PF: Jason Thompson
C: Demarcus Cousins
Last year, Williams did a very good job of distributing from the wing and I think he might just be starting to put some things together on the court. Of course IT is a small guard, but Evans' length makes up for it. The ball handling would be split between Evans and Thomas while Thompson defends the oppositions best offensive PF/C and Cousins mans up against their 2nd option down low.
2nd unit: (order off the bench)
PG: Jimmer Fredette (5)
SG: Marcus Thornton (1)
SF: John Salmons (3)
PF: Thomas Robinson (2)
C: Chuck Hayes (4)
I have Fredette listed as PG in name only because Thornton and Salmons would do most of the ball handling. I'm not too concerned about Hayes' height issues because he his butt is so big he can defensively handle most centers other than Howard and Bynum. Obviously the Kings would need to have JT or Cousins on the court in the scenario that a true 7-footer is out there. Jimmer would end up being the spot up guy.
That leaves:
Hassan Whiteside
Tyler Honeycutt
Francisco Garcia
Travis Outlaw
It would be nice to get rid of some of the chaff as it relates to our glut of terrible wings (between Salmons, Garcia and Outlaw), but I don't foresee that happening. I still don't understand picking up Outlaw on waivers after he was amnestied. Between those 3, the Kings have $17.18M locked up in salary. Next year it dwindles to 10.58M assuming the Kings pass on Garcia's option.
Ideally, Whiteside and Honeycutt deliver on their physical tools with Whiteside becoming the weakside defender who can protect the rim and Honeycutt providing some much needed scoring from the outside. At this point, both are so raw that it's hard to foresee that.
