Det needs to sign Semin and Carle or this is going to be a rough year. Once again, Ken Holland is left with A LOT of money in his pocket after the first few days of FA

Hopefully Carle doesn't hold the Wings hostage and demand more than a reasonable $5 million/year.
I suppose he could still re-sign in Philly since they missed on Suter too.

I'm really curious whether the pair would have signed if the Wild hadn't offered the most money in addition to being the locale they preferred.

Didn't Philly offer 100+? I don't even think we offered the biggest contract.

Man, if our young guys like Brodin, Coyle, and Granlund pan out like they should we are going to be realllllly good soon. Is something good about to happen to a Minnesota sports team? This is so confusing.

I hadn't seen that. We'll see if other teams' offers all come out in the media.
I don't mean to rain on Minnesota's parade. Just curious.

Of course there is. Ricky'll be back next season.

The Wild are now 22-1 to win the cup in Vegas. They were 200-1 two weeks ago.

This sucks, but Im happy for Wild fans and the state of Minnesota. This is leafue defining stuff here, and the landscape of the NHL will be forever changed due to this.

Whats worse than losing the Stanley Cup and your franchise player in the same month?

Suter to Detroit made a bunch of sense, sure, but you guys have to stop expecting to be everybody's preferred destination.

Zing
Early July has painful memories, for me. Losing Briere/Drury in 07 after winning the Presidents Trophy, and then the Leino contract last year. Shudder.

Is this like Big Foot or the Chupacabra, where everyone has claimed to have seen them but no one knows if they really exist?

I can confirm the presence of at least 10 or so bluejackets fans. I even know a season ticket holder!

Ex ******* actly. Not Xio, but a whole bunch of other Wings fans on the web. Just like it is with Carle, Yandle and Nash right now. They just
assume they are going to end up with one of them, it's just a matter of how.
