Possible, but I don't think it happens. We have a decent shot at signing him unless someone signs him to start.
If we were to sign him, I hope we have a corresponding move to get JC out of town, because there just won't be minutes to go around and I've had enough of checkers who dominate the ball to get a shot off. I am also hoping we bring back Big Game James Singleton for no other reason then the man is the most underrated player in the NBA.
PG - Wall - Mack
SG - Beal - Lee - JC?
SF - Ariza - BGJ Singleton - Chris Singleton
PF - Nene - Booker - Vesely
C - Okafor - Seraphin
Would also like us to pick a vet PG to back up Wall over Shelvin Mack.

I still see the 3 Guard rotation being used to get the best 5 guys on the floor, but we still need to add a SF in F/A somehow. I don't understand why we let Greene go, and still haven't made any noise in F/A yet.

I like Asik. He's a good player and with extended minutes he might be a top 10 rebounder in the league. 8 million dollar a year contracts shouldn't be handed out to players who can't score unless they're spoonfed buckets. Just my opinion.
|
Somebody actually made an interesting point about Asik's offensive game on another site. In the playoffs there was a critical end of game play people were giving CJ Watson crap for where he probably should have burned clock and taken a foul but passed it to Asik under the basket who got fouled and missed both free throws.
What exactly does it say about Asik's offensive game that people felt him getting passed the ball under the basket was a mistake? Obviously it was a situational thing and you want your better free throw shooter with the ball at the end of the game, but realistically a better offensive player could have probably gone up and dunked it or at least made one free throw. He's got a lot of value as a defender and rebounder, but he's absolutely terrible offensively.

RicBucher: So dealing Lamar Odom to Dallas for zilch finally pays off, since it's his trade exception, presumably, used to take in Nash.
PHX Suns beat writer Paul Coro: In Nash sign-and-trade, #Suns will get 2013 & 2015 first-round picks and 2013 & 2014 second-round picks.

Finally pays off? They got him to poison Dallas for a season, it paid off quite well as is.

Nash will get a 3 year, $25 million contract. The Suns will get $3 million in cash from the Lakers.
Have to assume now the Lakers will try a Bynum-centered trade to Orlando for Dwight.

So, not re-signing Chandler was totally worth it right?

Stupid Suns. LOL. Gotta love teams that help their direct competition more than they help themselves.

Lakers will benefit from this for what, 2 years or so maybe? Suns wont contend in that period, so who cares, take the deal you want more.

Crazy that Phoenix is helping the Lakers so easily...did they give up their training staff in the deal as well? I am sure that Kobe would like that, no more trips to Germany.
What is the trade scenario as of now with a Dwight trade to LA?

I think #Shabazzin2013 would be more appropriate.

Marc Stein reports that the Suns are now going to make a hard push to sign Goran Dragic. The Bobcats, Raptors, and Rockets also still in talks.

Not when G-Reg carries that team on his back all the way to an 8 seed.

LA doesn't need Dwight. Nash will resolve all the ball sharing issues now. Kobe will be better. Gasol will be better. Bynum will be better. ...and Grant Hill will help facilitate when he gets there.
