Since I have nothing better to do, I'll watch newsroom. Daniels and Waterson are great, I just don't see any direction. But of course attacking the tea party and their constant hypocritical double standards will always bring me some joy.

I'm probably going to a minor league baseball game tonight, but it looked intriguing so I'll probably check it out online.

Rachel Leigh Cook is my wife, BACK OFF!
I am excited for White Collar tomorrow though. Suits is also back this week, I believe...there was no new episode last Thursday.

Downloaded seasons 1 and 2 of Workaholics after hearing good things. Hopefully it's solid, I'm running out of sitcoms.

It's somewhat hit or miss. It depends on how you feel about stoner comedies. For other sitcoms, I was pleasantly surprised with Men at Work.

No I refuse to watch any Psych rip off. I'm even more pissed this new show stole a character from Psych also. I can't believe you'll be watching.

Is it a Psych rip off? I don't know what it's really about, just that it has two actors I like.

I don't think Jon Hamm was on any WW episodes.. I'm sure I would have noticed him, but I could have missed it.

Hamm was not in any West Wing episodes.
Yes Perception is a Psych ripoff. He perceives things to solve crimes.

Psych is hardly the first show to have a perceptive 'detective'.

True but the way they do it was copied by Mentalist and now it looks like this new show.

I've heard some interesting things from critics who have seen more than the first 3 episodes so I'm kinda interested to see where the show goes. Apparently Dev Patel's character gets threshed out a little more in an upcoming episode, for the worse. Either way I'm definitely going to keep watching.

The show's just ruthlessly douchey, which would be fine if Sorkin didn't spend almost no time actually breaking down the side he wants to make look foolish. The best part of the episode was when Daniels talks about the Tea Party for the first time, after that, however it's as though Sorkin feel's he's proved his point and it's time to just pile on the stupid. It's combative and dickish, actually reminds me a lot of watching Bill O'Reilly's show.

Just watched the third episode of The Newsroom. While it was decidedly better than episode two (which was a trainwreck), the show still has issues.
The five minute opening speech was just insufferable. I really can't stand this business of cherry-picking criticism of the media. It's easy to find fault in things in hindsight. Just too damn preachy still. Tone it down and the points Sorkin wants to make can still exist, just not in such "smack the viewer across the face with it" ways.
The nonsense with Will and Mackenzie's love life is just worthless dribble as well. I tolerate the love triangle, but I couldn't care less about Will's love life and the petty games.
Some of the episode was fine and dandy.
