You could play just about anyone else 2nd and it is an immediate upgrade.
I know it isn't ideal, but you should put the best line up you can on the field.
He regularly doesn't do that.
Ideally, we trade for Quentin.
Phillips
Cozart
Votto
Quentin
Bruce
Frazier
Hanigan/Mesoraco
Stubbs/Heisey
Pitcher
UNLESS it is Mike Leake Day
Leake
Cozart
Votto
Quentin
Bruce
Phillips
Frazier
Hanigan/Mesoraco
Stubbs/Heisey
(yes this is a joke)

Frazier
Phillips
Votto
Bruce
Ludwick
Mesoraco
Stubbs
Cozart
Should be the lineup.

Except you have 4 OF.
Bruce, Ludwick, Heisey and Stubbs?

Cozart leads NL rookies in H, R and Doubles.
Why is he batting 8th?

.295 OBP is not good. And it's not like he's Ian Desmond, where he has an assload of homers to offset that.

No but he has also been leading off. He is not a lead off hitter. He was hitting .300 in the 2 spot before moving to lead off. He should be there.

Sub .300 OBPs high in the batter order is where run scoring dreams go to die.

Yeah the 7 or 8 spot is best for Cozart right now.

Re: Terry Collins
I don't think he's THAT bad. He's below average as an in game manager. But just about every manager sucks, and Terry is leagues ahead of Randolph and especially Manuel.

I never said he wasn't. I said he's good in the clubhouse but on the field he's really bad. I'm still pissed about the Edgin thing.

Ryan Dempster has pitched a Cubs record-tying 33 scoreless innings. Who wants him?

He was over .300 before Dusty designated the 2spot for Stubbs.

Me. He probably would be cheap....or at least the cheapest available option out of the rumored names(Greinke, Hamels, Garza, Liriano)

At least none of the guys they gave up are doing anything special. Pomeranz has been OK, but his K/BB ratio is trash.
McBride is putting up numbers in AAA, but he's 27.
