My take on Ted is the same as mine on the Hangover.
If you see it right away, Im sure it delivers. But when you hear people talk how it is the funniest ******* movie ever, when you see it and it might be funny but not the funniest ever, you leave not getting the love.

IMO very few movies that are "the funniest ever" when they are released really ever last IMO.

I'll take Blazing Saddles over pretty much any comedy in the last 10-15 years or so.

Mel Brooks is amazing. But Blazing Saddles isn't his best film. History the World, Men in Tights, Spaceballs and Young Frankenstein were all better. As such I found Shoot Em Up funnier the Blazing Saddles.

Silent movie was the best. Twelve Chairs and History of the World : Part 1 were great too.

I do really like all those, honestly, I can easily see why anyone would prefer each of these over the others, depends on your sense of humor. That is why Mel Brooks was awesome, he could do any type of humor and do it better than almost anyone.

Crazy talk. It's an Action-Comedy! True Lies was a comedic action movie. Shoot Em Up is first and foremost a comedy, just one built around an action movie framework.

I don't care if In Bruges is a comedy or not : it still achieves to be a lot funnier than most comedies are.

In Bruges is a comedy, but its not the same type of comedy as being discussed with Blazing Saddles, Ted, the Hangover(saying they are the same type, not quality). It has more intentions than simply to provide you with a laughable moment every few minutes.
