All the Suns have to do now is sign O.J. Majo, who they are a major player for, and their lineup will be:
Dragic / Marshall
Mayo
Beasley / Dudley
Scola / Frye / Morris
Gortat
|
left off Dudley, not sure what this means for Fropez but I would still like him back if the cost is reasonable(3/12 or so)
Although it's gonna take a long time for anyone in Phoenix to actually like Sarver; he has been making the right moves lately. After pulling off all the Amar'e/Hedo/Chilldress/Warrick BS by himself he hired Blanks & Babby and got out of their way.
Quite honestly the Suns have some of the best contracts in the league right now and if the opportunity presented it self we could very well move them for a super star
Gortat 2/$14,986,240
Dudley 4/$17,000,000
Beasley 3/$18,000,000
Scola 3/$10,000,000

Just completely brainfarted on Dudley. Not sure why :/
If the Suns do land Mayo I really like their roster. All their guys are on manageable contracts and should be competitive. Maybe make the 7th/8th in the playoffs depending on the years.

My estimation of what the Suns look like cap wise
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...k9pV Xc#gid=0
Hearing Mayo wants 8 mil a year which we can afford but I don't think we are willing to pay

I'd rather take Courtney Lee and retain Shannon Brown.

Dragic, Beasley and Scola are revolving doors on defense, who exactly could they beat with that lineup?

The Wolves submitted their offer for Batum. 4 years-46 million. It's silly money, but Portland seems almost sure to match. Every team says that, but Portland turned down multiple sign and trade offers that would have netted them multiple 1st round picks. So, if they don't match, they are the dumbest FO in the league.

No, but he's certainly solid and young, and those things can get you a lot of money in the NBA. This was the only big attempt the Wolves made, and while I'd probably be happier if they don't get Batum for that price, I understand why they tried to do something. Now they can move on to more reasonably priced guys like Ronnie Brewer to go with Buddinger and Roy.

The Kings traded a 2nd round pick to the Raptors for James Johnson.
From looking at stats and what others had to say about him, here is what I've got so far: Looks like he makes his money on the defensive end. The Raptors allowed 2.71 points less per 200 possessions with Johnson on the floor on defense. And his impact defensive plays per game (steals + blocks + charges taken) were third in the NBA at the SF spot behind only LeBron and Gerald Wallace. He actually led the NBA in blocks per game for a swingman (SG & SF). His rebound rate was 10th in the league for small forwards and his assist rate was 20th in the league for small forwards.
It sounds like Johnson is a big, powerful 3 (listed at 6'9" and 245 pounds with a 7'1" wingspan) who can play the 4 in a small-ball, fast paced line-up. Big, athletic and energetic defender who can run the floor, finish at the rim, pass pretty well and rebound.
Based on what I know, I like the move and he sounds like a big upgrade over Travis Outlaw, Francisco Garcia and Donte Greene. Any Raptors fans know anything about him?

Portland should let him go to Minnesota, and then go all Walter White (Breaking Bad reference for everyone living under a rock) on David Kahn.

Very solid pick up for just a 2nd, and I hope to see him get major minutes right away for this team. Our defense is horrible at times and finally getting a consistent wing with some size and length like him could be a great addition to the rotation. I'd still like to see T-Will brought back if possible, if we could somehow get rid of Salmons/Garcia I feel like the mintues would open up a little more for the rest of our better players.

Johnson is a defensive BEAST. It's a great underrated pick up that is a smart smart move. Kings keep making moves that I admire this offseason.
