Do you guys have some good places to read up on all the training camp action. I generally read the Baltimore Sun Ravens section online, but other than that?
I wish I go to some of the practices out there, but I still might hit up some 49er ones.

I read Baltimore Sun and the Carrol County Times.
Also, the Ravens are going to be practicing at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday the 4th, free and open to the public.

Twitter mostly for me. Wilson is pretty good at putting out relevant info and the Ravens own feed is pretty good (and they answer questions).

Ray may be getting too light to meet a bruiser in the gap and drive him backwards, but when you look at the percentage of plays he does that versus dropping into a zone or covering a tight end or a guy out of the backfield, the drop in his play against the run will be an acceptable sacrifice given the changing dynamic of league offenses. And Ray has always had good tackling form, so maybe he gets driven back a yard or the runner falls forward more often, but its better than getting beaten down the seem and seeing that guy separate into the endzone. We've got some very good run stopping linebackers, but most (other than B.A.) are liabilities against the pass, so his new take on the game should help stop mismatches coming up.

Big Ben has a rotator cuff tear. Even though it's a rival, I hate to see this kind of injury to such a competitor.

Ah, he did sign with them on the 29th. I read he had a workout but didn't see anything after that.

Apparently Justin Tucker has been doing a really nice job in the kicking battle. It'd be nice to see him win that job so we could dump Cundiff's contract.

yeah I saw that too. Cundiff got booed immediately when he came up on the field. IDK how much of Cundiff contract is guarenteed though. I know it is the biggest contract for a kicker ever. I just hope Tucker wins out so we can never see Cundiff again.

Time heals all wounds. That's the cliche we'll hear from the castle when Cundiff is on the roster. No way Ozzie and Harbs go into this season with a rookie kicker.

Yeah I can see that. I just wish we went with Tucker. I personally believe Cundiff used PEDs that season he set the touchback record. 11 touchbacks in 7 seasons, then 3 years off. Then you get signed, set a touchback record, next season a stricter drug testing policy is put into place then get the ball moved 5 yards closer to the end zone and he has a bad season. Something just doesnt add up.
Plus missing a chip shot killing our super bowl chances makes me want him gone too.
now about LG. Do you guys see the veteran Bobbie Williams starting or the rookie KO?

It's gonna be Bobbie Williams.
Though KO hanging on to that starting RT spot isn't out of the picture. Apparently he's been rock solid there I don't think they feel obligated to start McKinnie at LT if they don't feel comfortable with him yet.

We better hope Oher starts at LT if Williams wins the LG competition.

I agree with you there. McKinnie and Williams on the same side would be too damn slow.

I wouldn't put much stock at all into preseason games. It's more for the starters to get loose for the regular season and to evaluate the second tier guys.

Gradkowski was pretty solid at C and KO was good at RT. That was all i cared about in the first quarter.
The WR battle for the 4th WR spot and beyond is looking to be the best in camp. Boldin,Smith,Jones have the first 3 spots locked up. Thompson,Streeter,Doss,Williams are all battling it out. IDK if we will keep 7 WRs buit if we try to stash Streeter or Thompson on the PS I think they will be snatched up quick.

KO had a good game at RT. I'm glad they made McKinney play with the second team. Grad seemed fine at C, I hope he can develop into the guy there.
Kindle got plenty of snaps last but really didnt stand out to me.
Now that we have 2 deep threats we need to push that ball down field more. Torrey Smith is gonna blow up this year.

Don't sleep on the Jacoby Jones addition. Legitimate slot guy with down field threat plus a good returner.

I really wanna see Doss show something. It seems he hasnt shown us anything last year or this year. I know he has been hurt by the injury bug but I had some pretty high hopes for him when I heard he was Flaccos favorite mid round WR and had amazing hands. Hopefully he gets it together.

A lot of guys have been bitten by the injury bug so far. Luckily only McBean has suffered something serious. I think Doss still ends up making the roster but he probably won't get on the field too much. We should see more 3+ WR sets but it looks like Williams is winning the battle for the 4th WR.

Yeah I think that Doss does make the squad but the top 3 are set and Williams will get the scraps at the #4 spot. Honestly when Torrey showed up last season and played like a legit wr & deep threat it was a huge addition. I thought he was going to need more time to develop to be an effective player, but he already is going to be a big asset for us.
