Most overtly mean players?

Everyone always talks about how soft the game is getting so lets take some time to appreciate the mean, aggressive guys with a throwback attitude. So, who are the most overtly nasty players that you know of?

Some players who come to mind for me: Cortland Finnegan, Brandon Jacobs and James Harrison.

And since I know some might take issue with my inclusion of Brandon Jacobs, let me just say this: Yes, Brandon Jacobs is at times (most of the time lately) a tall, upright back with little (if any) long speed or lateral agility but when he is on, he is a damn freight train at RB. And make no mistake, he is MEAN and man can he run his mouth with the best of them. Every single time the Giants played the Eagles he would get involved in countless scuffles. Brandon Jacobs is a mean man.

First one to come to my mind was James Harrison. Dude's insane and should be incarcerated. Another one is a favorite of mine, Logan Mankins. If he gets you on the ground, stay there. If you try to get up he'll kill you. I don't always approve, but that's the way he plays and I love it. Bernard Pollard is a player who always seem to go for the cheap shot. I'm not sure I'd call that mean as much as just plain dumb. He'll get his when it's due, I can't wait for it.

He was soft as **** as a player though, so he wasn't mean on the field. Off the field, I wouldn't go near him because he'd probably murder me but still.

Richard Seymour has turned into a dirty player since arriving in Oakland, that should be different this year with all the focus on cutting down penalties in the off season workouts.

All offensive and defensive linemen should be mean. If I had to pick one I would go with Logan Mankins, he doesn't give a f**k he'll punch you in the balls if he has to. He does whatever he needs to get the job done.

Your statement regarding Bernard Pollard is absolutely false, as explained above. He fell into Brady's knee. Stuff happens in football.

By watching his senior year and seeing his post draft actions, it seemed like he was just an aggressive kid who didn't like football, but got forced into it.
