Eh, although Oregan may not be in California they provide USC with some legit competition for California players.

Not enough to really make a dent. Out of the top 10 California players this year, USC already has seven, will probably add the eight, and didn't offer the other two. They own California, even if Oregon chips off a few players they want.

FSU picked up their second (seriously) 2015 commitment, from QB Deandre Johnson from First Coast HS in Jacksonville and look good to get a commitment in December from future high 4-5* QB D.J. Gillins, also from Jacksonville. If you are taking a 2015 commitment from a QB he damn well better be 5* caliber.

Greg Webb flipped his commitment from PSU to UNC. Why flip from one school with possible sanctions to another team with possible sanctions?

He'll switch again. Probably the first of many PSU recruits that start to jump.

Penn State's sanctions are going to be much, much worse.

VH3 named UF his leader after USC took Ramsey and now says he is ready to announce within a month. still not convinced that he doesn't end up at South Florida, though

The open season on Penn State's players should be interesting to see unfold. I'd like to believe the majority of them will stay but someone like Bill Belton has to be awfully appealing to other teams. Teams acquiring Penn State players will be getting pimped out JUCO guys essentially.

According to a respected poster on an OSU board, his friend's son that plays for PSU was contacted by two SEC teams last week. He posted this info last week, before any news of a punishment had leaked out, FWIW.
So:
1) Schools knew this was going to be happening.
2) Those teams still violated the rules of NCAA in contacting them before the NCAA made it's announcement.
3) I doubt the NCAA does anything about it because they are d-bags.

Since there isn't a 2017 recruiting thread yet, U-Dub got a commitment from a 14 year old 8th grader. Take that Lane Kiffin.

4* DE Jason Hatcher commits to USC
Quote:
"The only downside at Tennessee is they lost to U of K," Donna Hatcher said. "They're at the bottom of the barrel."
Jason Hatcher was so displeased that he brought up his concerns with Tennessee's coaches.
"I told them 'You lost to the University of Kentucky. You lose to UK, you lose to everybody because UK finishes last in the SEC every year.'" he said.

Humphries was #2 overall and I think a bigger signing for this team, but VH3 is still huge
