Ex-Auburn RB Dyer Denied eligibility for 2012
http://espn.go.com/college-football/...arkansas-state
Any chance he leaves and goes to the supplemental draft?

Nope because hes only going into his JR season so he wouldn't be eligible for another year

Yep. In order to be eligible for the Supplemental Draft, players have to be 3 years removed from the high school graduating class.

I do think he'll end up leaving for the draft next April though even without playing at all. Kind of like Dez Bryant. It'll be interesting to see how high he goes and if he is able to keep himself in shape. I guess his tape is complete at this point...

So could he leave Arkansas State, go FCS, and be eligible immediately? Seems like it would be better for him than staying and sitting at Arkansas State.

For any other position, I would say yes. But RBs have much shorter careers than other positions. The fewer carries on his legs the better.

I would tend to agree - as if he goes FCS he's going to get a ton of carries. If he sits out the year and plays one at ASU probably not going to get as much work in that offense. The other thing is that moving again will look bad to scouts - he made a decision to transfer to ASU - so stick with it.

Even if he transfers to a D-II school, he'll be ineligible for the 2012 season.

Are you sure? I thought if he transferred out of a Division I program into a Division II or Division III school, he could play immediately.
Does it have something to do with his suspension?

Can't find the double transfer rules anywhere. The article on Yahoo says he could transfer to an FCS school and play immediately. Guess we just have to wait.

Next year him and Crowell are going to be some intresting prospects bc both produced some at a high level but have off the field stuff.

He'd even be eligible if he transferred to an FCS program. You just can't transfer from one FBS school to another without sitting out a year unless you get a waiver from the NCAA.

Crowell isnt going to be touched. Kid is trash, attitude problems, possession of a firearm with the serial # scratched off, drug charges (not a huge deal but to some people it is). Injured an entire season, plays with no passion, etc.

He's extremely stupid, but he's got enough talent and it will probably transfer over very well. I think he'll get drafted.
