So I finally watched inception for the first time, actually watched it, the other two times I was tripping or failing to prevent a pair of comically oversized breasts from keeping me not focused on the film. I'm really glad I hadn't seen this movie when people were still talking about it otherwise I would've slapped people who kept talking about whether the top at the end keeps spinning or not. What an insignificant detail to have gotten so much attention. Liked the movie a lot but I think I liked the Prestige a lot more, gunna have to rewatch that one today.

David Bowie as Tesla may be the most perfect casting in the history film.

Some great news
Quote:
Breaking news: Joss Whedon has signed on to write and direct The Avengers 2. But not just that… He'll also be developing a Marvel TV show for ABC!
ABC in Talks for Live-Action Avengers-Connected TV Series
Disney Chairman Bob Iger dropped the news during an earnings call with Wall Street analysts today.
While there's no confirmation as to what the TV show in question is yet, we at the IGN offices are thinking it must be the Avengers-related series that was recently revealed to be in very early development.

I wasn't planning to see that. The next movie on my list is The Bourne Legacy.

It was stupid. I am mixed on that one. I love the Bourne franchise but will be weird not having Bourne in it. Renner said they are in talks of the next one already and that it may have both of them in it.

Good work Disney/Marvel:

It was just announced on the Walt Disney Investors Conference Call that Joss Whedon will return for The Avengers sequel. Whedon is signed to both write and direct the upcoming sequel. Disney confirmed that Whedon is also involved in the development of the previously-rumored long-lead ABC live-action television series which will be set inside the Marvel cinematic universe.

I'm finally thrilled Lincoln got off the ground is actually going forward. Seemed like it wasn't going to happen for a while or it was just delayed forever since the idea was made public.
EDIT: Sally Field and Joesph Gordon Levitt are in the movie too. I didn't know that. Levitt has just skyrockted since his appearance in Inception. At least with big budget films it seems like.

JGL plays his son I believe. And anything JGL is in is guaranteed to gain my attendance. Although Daniel Day-Lewis has already guaranteed that, him being the greatest actor of all time and all.
The Bourne movie has come out to mixed reviews. I guess that is what is to be expected when a series that was intended to be a trilogy is unnecessarily extended for simple profit. I might be forgetting something, but Looper is the next film I really want to see.

I was just thinking the other day about some of the future nominees for Best Picture of 2012 at the 2013 Oscars. it's early but it's fun to think about.
Lincoln (Spielberg + DDL, probably)
Dark Knight Rises
Moonrise Kingdom
Django Unchained (likely)
The Hobbit part uno
maybe Brave. Looper sounds good but the academy hates scifi movies, so it would have to be blow away good to get nominated. Lawless sounds cool too, but who knows if those movies will be good or mediocre (a la Prometheus).
Oh yeah, and of course Magic Mike and Twilight. Obvious/no brainers.
