He'll pick it up...Everyone else in the lineup has been hitting well lately so there is no hurry.

He's been getting BABIP'd all to hell. Been hitting rockets right at guys, one of which was a HR that was robbed.

Taking a walk every now and then wouldn't hurt. It's to be expected though, why sign Carlos Beltran for cheaper as he continues to be better, when you can trade a decent to solid prospect for an inferior player?

Nate McLouth quietly establish himself has a valuable asset. Running out every at bat, beat out a base hit on a slow roller to 2nd, stealing bases, just making quality decisions out there when he gets the opportunity. Another one of those under the radar acquisitions made by Duquette that is helping fuel this stretch drive.

I knew the playoffs and the Pirates were a pipe dream, but I just wished they didn't look so bad doing it. My god.

Well, Bedard was going to either get hurt or collapse, so you have to take one or the other. I didn't expect McDonald to just lose it though, I thought he had broken out.

This is the difference between last years and this years Pirates. Last years team would have never recovered from a 3 game losing streak and starting down 5 runs. Doesn't mean they'll make the playoffs or anything, but they won't collapse like last year.

And that's the difference. Last years team wouldn't have done this. You should have seen how badly they started this game. 15 minutes ago they looked like they'd lose to my old t-ball team. In a situation that looked and felt like a loss and I didn't think they stood much of a chance, they didn't just mail it in like they did last year. That was the point.

Rajai Davis' catch was ******* awesome. I think it's better than Trout's.

Rockies, this is what happens when your pitcher wears a single digit number.

When you consider the fact that the wall is 10 feet tall and the way he perfectly tracked the ball and expertly timed his jump, I completely agree.
