With Jenkins clearly not coming back next year because we simply don't have the money, Matheiau is someone I'd love in the 3rd-4th round.
Sooo a 5'9 drug addict? Think thats a Garrett kind of guy? I dont think so!

+rep.

He doesn't fit our defense at all. Press coverage and Tyrann Matheiau should never be put in the same sentence. Even if you want to argue schematically about a potential fit you have the glaring issue mentioned above by pocketaces. He is not a RKG (right kind of guy) and to be quite frank is an idiot.

-_- How do you get kicked out of a football program in the SEC for drugs? You get 3 chances... >.<

Did you learn anything from the last 2 drafts since Garrett became HC? Jerry has become a backseat GM. Garrett runs the draft. Stephen does the contracts. Jerry is just a face and a mouth who's decision making has phased out.

1. Tyron Smith
2. Bruce Carter
3. Demarco Murray
4. David Arkin
5. Josh Smith
6. Dwayne Harris
7a. Shaun Chapas
7b. Bill Nagy

1. Mo Claiborne
3. Tyrone Crawford
4. Kyle Wilbur
4. Matt Johnson
5. Danny Coale
6. James Hanna
7. Caleb McSurdy

Very true. A bunch of high character, team captain, lunch-pail to work, type of players have made their way into the team. I personally love the culture Garrett has brought in.

He's also managed to do it without making in the media dubbing him a disciplinarian and requiring the media to grovel at his feet. Talking about Bill Parcells here of course).

So you agree?

Because talking about Garrett and Stephen speaks nothing to Jerry.

Like saying a NY State Senator is a d-bag and then you say my Hawaii Senators are great. And???????

I missed the point you tried to make.

Jerry is phasing out... that much is clear. He will forever be a strong voice peice and I do give him credit for working trades and such. But his involvement in choosing the players that are drafted appaears minimal to me. ...and it definitely seems like he touches a lot less on player contracts with Stephen doing all of that. I think in regards to FA targets that he relies on the coaching staff's wants.

If we have bad drafts, I'm blaming Garrett. If we have bad signings, I'm blaming Stephen. If we have bad trades, I'm blaming Jerry. ...and vice versa with the credit.
