This team is going to ball. Useful bench players, studs at 2 positions (maybe 3 if you consider Gates) , upside at WR. Yeah, nice.

Think I'll probably do one more 12 man league tonight. Thoughts on PPR vs Non? Anyone want to try and get one started with some DC guys?

Depending on what time you're drafting, I'd be down! I'd be fine with PPR or regular.

WR Dez Bryant, DAL
RB Fred Jackson, BUF
RB Marshawn Lynch, SEA
TE Jermichael Finley, GB
FLEX Darren Sproles, NO
BN QB Andrew Luck, IND
BN WR Reggie Wayne, IND
BN WR Kenny Britt, TEN
BN WR Titus Young, DET
BN RB Kevin Smith, DET
BN TE Kyle Rudolph, MIN
K David Akers, SF
DEF San Francisco
D D'Qwell Jackson, CLE
DL Jared Allen, MIN
DB George Wilson, BUF
Strategy:
I wanted Rodgers for sure, so I'm glad I got him. I decided to go with WRs early on, but my PC disconnected and got Marshawn Lynch instead of Victor Cruz. Sproles was a PPR machine last year, so I was happy to get him.
Should I keep Lynch, or swap him? I've already got a trade offer (Wayne + Lynch for DeMarco Murray).

DO NOT DO THIS TRADE!
Reggie Wayne will be a solid weekly start. His value is astoundingly low right now and you're giving him away in a RB swap that is even if not for the suspension cloud over Lynch.

Solid. Not selecting Gerhart is a mistake, though. I'd drop Quick for him.

I agree w/Mufasa and would recommend you wait. You're selling low on both guys with their respective injury concerns.

I'm looking in the 7-830 EST range. Even if we don't create a league, I'll post a link to the one I'm going to join.

Everyone has Lynch pretty much as a top 15 selection, but I'm having a tough time seperating him from Steven Jackson, why is he going so much higher than Steven? Jackson is as constistent as they come and looks as good as ever this preseason.
Not sure if it's my Rams love or Seahawks hate getting in the way or a little of both, just trying to understand why there's been so much support for Lynch.
|
Murray
Lynch
Jackson
Trent
I will say that I am notoriously hard on rookie RBs as top 30 players. They have too much to learn in pass-pro and typically lose touches there and there's always the "rookie wall" to worry about. Add Richardson's injury to that and I think people are making a huge mistake taking him prior to round 3/4.
I like Jackson as a 're-featured feature back on a Fisher team, but it's tough to take him over the younger guy behind a better oline (Lynch) or the younger guy with higher upside (Murray.) I will say that I'd lump Lynch/Jackson/Richardson very close together and call it a pick your poison type of selection, though. Lynch got paid and is an idiot who currently only has speculation on his side in regards to suspension. Trent - mentioned already. Jackson . . . I love him, tbh, and have man-crush colored glasses on most of the time. lol

Worry. And/or hope MJD follows the typical trajectory of a long holdout RB. I doubt you haev a ton to choose from on the wire, though. What RBs are available? Carrying Lafell and Fleener is completely unnecessary right now, and possibly Flacco, though I like him.

Scotty, if I'm not mistaken, this is a 14 team league correct?
I'm assuming AD, DMC, and Calvin were off the board at the time and I really don't hate your choice with Graham. It's a PPR league which makes Graham a more sensible option. Good pick. Everything else looks good Scotty, but I get to Jonathan Stewart and I really, really worry. He's the weakest link in your lineup. He's injured, Cam's taking a lot of goal line carries, Olsen is supposedly in an expanded role, I just have a hard time seeing the upside with him. Someone is going to have to breakthrough on your bench or on the waiver wire. Rice is going to be replaced in your lineup in due time and I think you know that. Cam and Graham is a very very good 1-2 in a 14 teamer though.
I'm meh on it as well, but I don't typically know what to expect from 14 teamers. This looks pretty solid.

Your starting lineup is very, very good. I'm tempering my expectations for Richardson but a lot of people love him. I would have went a different route. Harvin/Jones is a strong WR corp. Olsen is a nice TE to have this year. DeAngelo looks like a better pick with Stewart's injury.
Newton and Cutler are sufficient enough for a 10 teamer, Carson is a waste of a roster spot, imo.
You'll contend but keep an eye on that waiver wire.

yeah, 14 teamers are tough. J-Stew was a fairly late-ish pick so I took a flyer on him...then he gets hurt. Rice was a late flyer too. Hoping Russ-Cam-Graham-Decker-Lloyd can carry me for the most part. fred Jackson hopefully can hold off Spiller this year and hopefully repeat last year. We'll just have to see how it goes.
Absolutely dominated the other 10 man leagues I was in. One of them I ended up with Stafford-DMC-Forte-Nicks-Harvin

That would be perfect time-wise for me. It would be cool if we could get all DC guys though. I will ask around.
EDIT: Figured this would be easier. http://www.draftcountdown.com/forum/...11#post3100111

I can understand being pretty meh on it. I'd say it's very clear that the Graham selection really hurt you're RB core, and I'm curious what the weak RB options were. I really like Fred, and nothing from Bills camp has suggested Spiller is a threat. I have actually come back around to RB/RB, tbh, because getting non-RBBC options is much tougher than filling out a roster at TE/WR nowadays. I'm also curious what you passed up at QB in many of these rounds since you can start two.
I think both Stewart and DWill are undervalued. Stewart in PPR should be solid for you so I actually like him alot for your cost. Depth is always a concern (especially in 14 team w/lots of starting spots) but you look really thin. You've got upside on the bench, but nobody I'd want to start and Rice/Tate are both pretty rough in the starting lineup as it is. IDK . . . maybe I'll do a 14 team mock just to test the waters, but this team seems really thin to me.

A solid group. Evidence that applying the Bill Belichick Drafting Handbook to the Fantasy Football realm makes sense. I also recommend cutting Palmer for . . . well, just about anything.

I'm having some position ranking issues this year. Especially at RB. Anyone want to recommend a site (or even email me their Excel files!)?

Don't know about Tamme as your starting TE. I think Dreesen has been targeted more by Peyton. Your bench is mediocre. I believe Spiller and Cobb will have breakout years, but you're taking a lot of risk.

How many do you want ranked? I could post mine here, it'd make for better discussion. Standard or PPR?

What is the ideal pick in a ten teamer for you guys? I just landed the number one pick in my work league and pretty much everyone is open to swapping drafts with me. I'm thinking of maybe swapping with 3 or 4, but idk.....Arian foster is just a cut above when healthy.

4. You get Rice, McCoy, Foster, Rodgers/Brady and have a higher pick on the way back around than you would at 1 without dropoff in talent in the first round.
I also dont like b2b picks and the 18 picks in between, too much happens.

Solid team overall. That WR3 spot could be trouble, as Young is all hype until proven otherwise and Wright is not even hype yet. I'd drop Best - there's just no reason at all to carry him. Add best WR available or maybe a handcuff - especially if Blount is on the wire.

Very good. Obvious concern is TE. Peyton/Tamme are hyped too much for my tastes, though that doesn't preclude it from actually happening the way people want to believe. I see a fairly split production for Tamme/Dreessen and would not be surprised if Dreessen saw more action over the course of the season.
Keller . . . I don't see it. The Jets are just a mess. I suppose there's a chance he is the defacto #1 pass catcher and has garbage points late in games that make him a playable ppr option. For me, that's not a scenario I'm all that comfortable with, especially when it means carrying a second TE.

Unless you can gauge what someone wants and be sure they're not sniping your guy OR you get something silly in a trade offer, I wouldn't trade it.
Draft Foster.
