Aliens should not be a 1 seed. Ugh.
Best sequels ever (not in any particular order):
Godfather Part 2
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises
LOTR Two Towers
LOTR Return of the King
Terminator 2
Ghostbusters 2
Back to the Future 2
Back to the Future 3
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
I would put Spider-man 2 and Wayne's World 2 up there too. Naked Gun is in the discussion as well. But those 12 would be my top 12 seeds without question. Kill Bill would be in that list but there is debate if it actually counts as a sequel or not.

Couple of comments...
Agreed on Road Warrior. Completely forgot that one, and it definitely should have been included. Same with Lethal Weapon 2, but that was at least apparently discussed by the writers.
I've heard of all these movies except #7. By the name including "Sith", I'd assume it has something to do with Star Wars, but only 3 Star Wars movies were made so I think you made this one up...

No Toy Story 2 or 3? Those last three are also pretty blah movies in general, but whatevah. The sequels they chose are really stupid and Simmons heavy anyways, so the lousy Rocky sequels will make it way too far because of the annoying fanbase he has.

I'd put SW episode III over Return of the Jedi for sure.

I feel like they should have limited each series to only one movie. Only one LOTR, one Star Wars film, one Rocky, etc.

Weird n kinda creepy but an interesting film to watch. Plus I loved the composition of most of the shots and the fact that Bertolucci wanted his actors to spend more time on screen smoking than Jean-Paul Belmondo.

Like I said, there were only 3 Star Wars movies. (I don't even like Star Wars that much)
But in all seriousness, I agree they should have limited it to one sequel per series. I really don't think 3 Rocky movies is necessary.
Should be Rocky IV cuz' 'merica, Empire Strikes Back, TDK, Last Crusade, and if I had to pick, I guess Two Towers.
That opens up a spot for Road Warrior, D2, Evil Dead 2, and three others.

Not sure if you mean Return of the Jedi or Revenge of the Sith.
Either way, I disagree.

I did not care for Rubber when I saw it. Too "meta" for me, idk maybe it was too strange and out there for me to take in on a first viewing.

Warrior was pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. Jennifer Morrison is wicked cute.
Joel Edgerton has been in quite a few movies, lately. Wonder how he does in Gatsby.

Love that Edgerton is finally getting some big roles. He has been kicking around the Australian scene for at least a decade now and he is nearly always great.

If you're interested.

With the DVD and Blu-ray release of The Avengers less than a month away, Marvel has been offering up plenty of sneak peeks at the accompanying array of special features. Earlier today we were treated to a tease of a Robert Downey Jr.-centric featurette, and now we have a first look at an alternate opening sequence.
The scene, which comes courtesy of Yahoo!, takes place in the aftermath of the battle between the Avengers and the Chitauri. Slow shots show a destroyed New York City, with Captain America gazing at the mayhem that the Avengers have caused. We then are introduced to Cobie Smulders‘ S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill as she tells her higher-ups that she believes Nick Fury is “reckless.” “Who would bring those people together and not expect what happened,” she asks.

As great as this scene is, it doesn’t fit the movie Joss Whedon made, and we’re glad it got cut. Even at its darkest moments, The Avengers was tempered with a lightness that has become a signature Whedon style. This sequence has none of that, and casts a dark pall over the rest of the movie. Imagine if the entire film had been this depressing! At least it’s an interesting look at The Avengers that could have been — and gives us just that much more Maria Hill.

My friend just described Warrior perfectly while I was telling her about it earlier. A Lifetime movie for guys.
