That was definitely pass interference, but I will take it. Overall, looked like a stereotypical South Carolina opener to me. Last season it looked more like we had gotten away from playing down to teams, but obviously not. That being said, Vanderbilt this year is much better than past versions. Hopefully James Franklin upsets a few SEC East brethren(particularly Georgia) and gets hired away somewhere else so I don't have to worry near as much about Vanderbilt. The SEC doesn't need a competitive Vandy to **** things up further.

I wouldn't take this game as the norm. He ran just as much last season and didn't get hurt. He happened to take a bad hit this game, and his sliding technique may be tweaked because of it, but overall I am not that concerned about future injuries for Shaw, given his status as a running quarterback.

Yeah man. I guess we need to give him some time to work the program before its the level were accustom to with Leach.

Yeah, I'm sure Leach will get it worked out. Maybe the rest of the NCAA has caught up to him and he won't be able to just curb-stomp the moderate defenses with his system? He might need a year or two to get "his guys" on the roster?

Agreed. Tuel didn't look to good, which is a little surprising to me as I always thought he looked decent whenever I saw him. He really doesn't have much zip on his passes. The OLine didn't exactly help matters (or Kyle Van Noy).

Don't know how the hell the Gophers are only up by 3. Turnovers are even and the Gophers have outgained them by 200 yards. Terribly frustrating game to watch.

$20 says the Gophers score a touchdown here and miss the extra point

I gained a lot of respect for Connor Shaw in that game.

Super excited for the Stanford game tonight. It's only San Jose St though. Shayne Skov is serving a 1 game suspension for a DUI, but there is still plenty to watch.
-How Nunez does as the next QB
-Can the OL keep it up after losing 2 top talents
-The TE Duo after Fleener has moved on, Look for TE/FB Ryan Hewitt to get more catches
Player to watch:
Stanford OLB Chase Thomas 6"4" 248lbs
8.5 sacks & 17.5 TFLs last year. The guy is quick and know how to get after the QB. Also pretty decent at dropping off in coverage when asked. 3-4 OLB but knows how to put his hand in the dirt and plays the 4-3 DE when needed.

When it comes to games like Tennessee vs. NC State, do you guys root for anyone if you have no ties to either team? Or do you just watch the game and hope it's good?

I root for players generally, which is why I can basically watch any college game and enjoy myself.
NC STATE ABOUT TO GET BRAY'D.
