Default Advice on creating a resume/portfolio?

I'm at that stage in college where it's important to start building a resume/portfolio and was wondering if anyone had any experience in that regard. I would love to become a sports journalist after graduating, but I want to make sure my applications are sound. Has anyone used any particular sites which were helping in compiling a portfolio and structuring a resume? +rep for anyone who can help out!

Not sure on site....utilize your career center though or ask friends that have gotten good jobs for their template. For sports journalism though, it's all about connections even mores than other industries.
