Taking Chapman out with the bases loaded and 2 outs? Yea he's walked the bases loaded, but he's Chapman. I wouldn't like that at all if I was a Cincy fan.
Worked out well tho.

Vottos gotta love this. Couldn't be set up better for a walk off here.
Or Resop can walk him on 4 pitches, putting the winning run at 3rd with one out. Excellent idea.

Just going through some obvious fatigue right now. When he's healthy he's every bit as good as Kimbrel and maybe even better.

Big at bat for Phillips. Can't afford to waste an easy run in both the 10th and 11th.
Edit: Nice catch holy **** I thought this one was over.

I don't see how the Reds are going to win a playoff series they can never score with a runner on third no matter how many outs.

This is one of the most pathetic displays of offense I've seen from both teams. Wow.

Ever since Votto has come back they have pretty much stopped hitting which I predicted would happen.

Weird things like that just seem to happen sometimes. Doesn't make sense on paper, but you do see it happen time to time.
That said giving votto two great chances in extra is so dumb. Just awful situations.

Finally this game is over. It was ugly on offense for both sides.

A's get win #1 in this crucial series. 3 more games to go.
Have to think a sweep, as unlikely as it is, essentially eliminates Angels for good.

Though I doubt it happens, the Pirates seriously need to consider letting go of Hurdle and going after a manager who can actually manage a complete and better game. Wandy is dominating and Hurdle takes him out for Hughes who has not been pitching well. This isn't the first time Hurdle has over managed and killed the ball club.
Francona interested in coming to manage for his hometown team?

Angels bats were hitting line drives right at guys. Just not their night
Still am fine with them going 2-2 in this series and then seeing where the A's stand after they face DET, BAL, NYY and TEX

At least the Pirates didn't make me wait 15 innings to watch them lose this time. Simply unwatchable at this point.

What are the Yankees planning on doing with their catching situation next season? I ask this because if they are going to resign Martin, I want Romine or Cervelli on the Pirates. They need a new catcher in the worst way next season. Barajas shouldn't be brought back, McKenry shows flashes every once in a while, and Sanchez isn't ready yet. They need a guy who can throw a damn batter out as well.

-Draft a guy just because he's cheap and should get to the majors quick
-3 years later and now 24 years old, still not ready
TONY SANCHEZ EVERYBODY.

The guys that hit when Votto was out cooled off.
They need some rest. Not really complaining.

No Orioles' fan on this board constantly fills this thread with constant diatribe about who they want on their team.
