Been jammin the new Grizzly Bear album and it is pretty excellent.
It's very good, but I find parts of it boring.....they are trying at times to play up the intellectual, deep angle too much imo. Still some great stuff on there though, no doubt. I like 'Half Gate' a lot, probably my favorite song off the album.

hey guys, I just found out I cannot make the Bon Iver concert at the Radio City Music Hall in NYC on Saturday. I have two tickets that I would be wiling to sell for 100. They cost about 130. PM me if anyone is interested
I have tickets to see Two Gallants in Brooklyn on tues and the Global Citizen Festival next weekend at central park. Black Keys, Neil Young, Foo Fighters, and Band of Horses :) Would have been a great run of shows if I could make tomorrow

This really is a great weekend for live music in Philly and NYC if you are me. Almost too many options.
In NYC this weekend there is The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Fitz and the Tantrums, Steve Earle, Purity Ring, Michael Kiwanuka, Black Box Revelation, The Sheepdogs, and Bon Iver. In Philly you have The Sheepdogs, Michael Kiwanuka, Glen Hansard, Ben Howard, Ed Sheeran (not really my style, I know some people on here might like him), Beats Antique (I'd love to see them live), Allen Stone, and David Gray
And Farm Aid is going on in Hershey. Lots of great music will be in my area this weekend... Seeing all of what is going on (and that I left Peter Gabriel and Bruce Springsteen concerts off these lists) makes me wish I was seeing more music this weekend, one way or another.

And it is truly a masterpiece. Al I can say is I consider myself truly lucky to be alive while these guys make the music industry their *****. They were already arguably the biggest band on earth right now, and Babel has put them on a level I didn't ever think I would hear. I'm actually going online and ordering it now.
