A lot of people think we'll actually be better with Shortell because he's a better passer, but those people are dumb. The Gophers led the league in lowest yards needed on 3rd down (an important stat considering how important it is to sustain drives). It's a good thing we will have to face Shortell. Running QBs always kill us (except Denardzzz who can't beat us) and Gray, if I recall correctly, was no exception last season. But we are usually decent against passing QBs and this year our pass defense is head and shoulders above every other area that it makes me feel better knowing we face Shortell.
Also, Floyd needs to come home. He doesn't like it up in the cold or hearing how awesome the Vikings are. Haha, just kidding, he doesn't hear that in Minnesota either.
