MLB says it's correct, so yeah, I'm correct:

For the 2012 Postseason only, the five-game Division Series will begin with two home games for lower seeds, followed by up to three home games for higher seeds. This one-year change, which eliminates a travel day prior to a decisive Game Five of the Division Series, was necessary because the 2012 regular season schedule was established before the agreement on the new Postseason format was reached. Next year, the Division Series will return to the 2-2-1 format used in previous years.

Well that was a disappointing way to lose a game.
Parker had some big brass ones though.

It's a shame that Marshall hasn't been all that good this year. I really like the guy but I guess the whole 'trying to make him a closer' thing backfired. Luckily our bullpen is pretty awesome even with his suckage. Stinks we couldn't clinch the division tonight, was having flashbacks of two years ago when Brucey came to the plate near the end.
Just hope we get it done this weekend while we're at home. Can't believe there were only 35k there tonight.

Going to both Giants games this weekend in hopes of being at the game where they clinch the division. 2010 was sweet being there when they clinched
oddly enough, they clinched in 2010 at home by beating the Padres. May very well happen again

Oh absolutely, one of my best friends here at school is a Giant fan so I made sure to post a Hanley "I see you" picture as soon as we got him and he hits a game winning bomb, well....little did I know we would now be 7 games back.

Rushing him back into the playoffs a couple of years ago didn't help either. Think it ruined what little psyche the guy had.

Which is better for Ryne Sandberg?
Astros' manager this year.
Replacing Manuel as Phillies' manager next year?

Molina injured, looked like it could be for a significant period. Or at least that's the speculation. Welp, it was a fun season.

Ivan Nova should be demoted to bullpen and David Phelps should stay in the rotation. Efficiency is the key right now as friggin Orioles keep staying too close for comfort.
I don't like Yankees lose the East division to first time knocker.

So, Miguel Cabrera homered today to take a share of the HR lead. Now in triple crown position.
Oh man ...
