God I hate when they play Gareth Bale at LB.

He is an average at best LB. Complete waste of time. I feel like sliding Vertonghen across to LB (where he sometimes plays for Belgium) and then bringing on Caulker or Dawson makes much more sense.

And that is exactly why you have Vertonghen at LB and Bale at LM.

They really cannot let Demba Ba go.

Unless Newcastle suddenly became Man Utd, they don't have a choice. Stupid money games.

Ugh....saw that coming. If we keep drawing matches at this pace we won't even finish in the top 4/overreaction. Still 10 minutes to go but our attack has been flat all game.
Edit: Kompany almost scores on the bike :O.

I think the title race will go down to the wire with Chelsea and both Manchester sides right in it.

Yeah, it would suck, especially if it's just for whatever the release is. I think it expires after this winter though.

Glad to get the win against QPR, but QPR dominated the first half and probably deserved a point, if not the victory.

I feel the same way about the Newcastle game today. Norwich looked better for probably two-thirds of the game; just didn't have that bit of class we do up front.

Argle Bargle. Kompany bicycle would have been great, but I was really thinking Kun could tuck it right afterward. Blergh. So shaky on defense, hoping for Richards' return soon. Silva is severely lacking in form and we didn't need Nasri getting hurt. Officially calling for Mario. Shake it up.

Watching the replay of Liverpool- Man. Utd. on FOX, I am not so sure that was worth the penalty. It looked to me that Valencia went down on his own power and just did a good job of making it look like it was caused by contact.

Lol, we haven't deserved a single point this season. Probably an encouraging thing I suppose.

Rosebud me old san, not sure if you know but Yesil is starting tonight for Liverpool in the cup, and by all accounts is having a pretty useful game.

That's great to hear. That kid could be so special if he Liverpool's goal drought doesn't rub off on him. His movement and passing are excellent and he's got great instincts when he's the guy in the box getting the ball. Just needs to work on his physical strenghth, his shot power and adjust to higher and higher levels of competition.

I really liked this from Ashley. Pardew is the man! Feels so good to have some stability for once.

twas good news for sure. did not improve my day though; I should've probably just smashed one of my monitors.
In other news, FIFA 13 was awaiting me when I arrived home. Who should I play with first? The Toon?

How does Raheem Sterling already have 3 kids? He's 17 for christ sake. Is shooting for double digits before he turns 21?

Eight years is a bit much, isn't it? Is he really that unquestionably proven to where you would commit yourself to him for that long of a time? I haven't really followed Newcastle enough to say how good of a manager Pardew is, but I would only support that long of an extension for practical legends a la Ferguson. I know Newcastle has been plagued by instability, but at the same time the solution shouldn't be tying yourself to one manager for so long either.
