I'm not terribly worried about McCray. I think he'll do fine.

"I don't want to tip-toe the lines of anything that's happened with bounties or anything like that, but they were definitely going after me," Griffin said. "They made it a point, obviously, all week to hit me. Some of the shots were cheap of that nature."
|
Redskins have been mum on the injury front although Adam Schefter is reporting that RGIII is indeed suffering from a vaginal infection.
If Tony Romo said something like this ESPN would have eight "experts" lined up talking on how Romo took normal hits a QB should expect and that he needs to buckle up and play. Then they'll point to his lack of leadership and the fact the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game in a while.
RGIII does it and they speak to his toughness and the problems with the replacement referees. Give. Me. A. Break. RGIII bringing up the bounty scandal as a justification for his whining is especially low class.

Not smart of him. Now he's just put a bigger bullseye on his chest.

Lol, two weeks in and he's already a "classic primadonna"? Please. He's just a guy that hasn't learned that you don't always speak freely to the media because of how easily things can be misinterpreted. He'll learn really soon that you can't take the bait all the time.

We'll see. Nothing is written in stone, but actions speak louder than words.

I'm gleaming with confidence.
I'm not trying to be a negative nancy but I don't expect smooth sailing, there is going to be some bumps in the road if our starters don't get healthy.

Not to come off like a jerk or anything, but we always hear these things said every year when in actuality we are always on the small end of injuries, and you cannot get through a season without any. Look at who the Giants are missing right now, and what CB's they had to play in week 1, then in week 3 had no starting RB, no starting WR, Rivers was hurt, starting CB still hurt, etc etc etc.
Eagles don't have Jason Peters or their starting Center Kelce and Maclin probably doesn't play. Redskins lost Orakpo and Kerrigan. And we are bringing up injuries because Sensy is out for a few weeks? Lol that's just silly man. We aren't able to play with injuries turned off, as long as no one is out for the season, and the injury report doesn't list the names of Romo, Murray, Tyron, Dez, or Lee we'll be just fine.
Every team is playing with make shift players all over the place. The Packers lost Desmond Bishop in one of the first pre-season plays of the year and he's arguably their best defender for a team with SB aspirations. Falcons lost their best CB in Brent Grimes for the year. These teams are losing their most valuable players for the whole year. If the most we have to worry about is not having Sensy for a few weeks we should be singing praises right now. Just look around the league at other teams.

Do it think that it is going to be the end of the world that Sensy will be out for a couple of weeks, no. I was simply being objective in saying that it puts the secondary in a bind consdering the next two players in line really dont have a lot of experience.
The secondary is a lot like the o-line in terms of you need to see what your teamate sees to void gaps in coverage. When you insert someone who hasn't had reps with the first team those gaps tend to widen or create all out bust in coverage. Having two players without those reps would really be a challenge imo.
Chruch is slated to play so that really isn't an issue unless he re-injures himself.

So who's fault is it that Martellus Bennett is playing better than he ever has before?

I'm going to factor Tony into the equation too, he has always had his guys that he trusts, Miles and Witten mainly. Marty B was never a lunch pale guy in practice and never really earned a spot on the A team. That translated to the game and when he did get some opportunities he didn't always make the best of them pushing him down even further.
He is still a guy who make you say wow at an amazing play and then make you shake your head as he drops a pass that hits him square in the chest... just getting more chances. I think with he will get better as the reps come but will never be dominant because he doesn't want to be.

Keep in mind gents that he also hasn't had a major blunder that draws the ire of the media/fans. He completely shuts down with negative attention. When he drops a critical pass, or tips a ball into a pick-6, and the Giants end up losing it'll be a different scene entirely.

Nobody but his own. I know I haven't forgotten how he was so into posting blogs, rapping, goofing off at practice, dropping easy first downs, etc etc etc. Talent wasn't ever in question. Didn't he have a TD 4 weeks in a row for us as a rookie? If we had re-signed him we would have boy cotted the games probably lol.
I'm glad he's playing better now, this happens all the time it just sucks that it's for a division foe. At this rate they'll re-sign him, and let's see how he fares with a big contract instead of playing to get one.

Worst part of Marty B is
1) he is an idiot
2) we wasted a high draft pick on him
3) he never worked hard enough
4) we could have had a high draft pick for him via trade
5) we never did give him the reps either -- that is to say push him
6) he left for nothing
Stirring success.

Ratliff and Coleman are officially out for the game. Lissemore gets the start for Coleman. Spears is listed as questionable but should play and I assume will be the primary relief for LE/NT.
Albright is also out, Mario Butler was cut to make room for Orie Lemon to fill that slot on special teams.
Sensabaugh is listed as doubtful.

Hopefully Romo shakes off that INT and gets his head focused again.

Are we ever going to find a head coach that is able to correct all these stupid penalties, or is that just something we are going to accept as a franchise? At what point does is get ridiculous?
How many years in a row have we done this same stupid ****?

Interesting point by Aikman about the lack of a homefield advantage with Freeman using a hard count in the redzone.
Thank God for Sean Lee.
