Two good primetime games on Sunday and Monday.

I'm expecting Michael Vick to get sacked with one second left so the Giants win, but then one official deicdes to put another 10 seconds on the clock for no reason and the Eagles win on a last second field goal.

Then on Monday Jay Cutler will throw an interception which is returned for a TD by Morris Claiborne and the officials will rule it as a TD for Chicago, because ya know...that's what they do now

Let's see, I got the Vikings/49ers game as a trap game right last week. This week, I think a very desperate Saints team could pull the upset over a Packers team who will be hungover from last night's debacle.

The refs aren't letting good QBs be good this year so I wouldn't count on it. Except Matt Ryan. He has somehow appeased the ****** ref overlords.

Lions being very quiet and mysterious about Stafford's leg. Wouldn't surprise me to see Shaun Hill start on Sunday.

At least when Hill comes in he says **** it I'm throwing it to Calvin. Which works more often then not. Stafford tries to hit everything that Calvin opens up for the other guys.

You can take solace in the fact that Hill is a top 20 QB in the NFL at least.

A month ago, would anybody have guessed the Saints would be fighting to avoid 0-4 and the Packers would be trying to dodge 1-3?

No, but the Saints aren't really your typical team facing 0-4 either. They are far more purely talented than that. I think they could come out swinging against a Packers team that, let's face it, screwjobs aside, hasn't been all that good this year anyway.

This one is going to be all offense. For the first time this year Rodgers will face a team that won't be a top 5/10 defense. I have little doubt that the total points in this game will be over 70

NO's defense is terrible #32 in total yards, tied #31 in points allowed.

I'm hoping for a good day for the Patriots against the Bills. The Bills have been tricky the last few times they played and their defensive line could cause major damage, but their back 7 looks a mess right now, Fitzmagic is Fitztragic, and Spiller is down while Fred Jackson may or may not make it and if he does, how healthy can he be?

Something interesting that I've been noticing are the struggles of rookie head coaches in game management situations. If you've never been a head coach before, there are certain things you have to be cognizant of that you never had to worry about before.

Here is one from Miami where Joe Philbin is a first time head coach:

The Dolphins threw incomplete toward the sidelines three consecutive times, then kicked a field goal and went on to lose in overtime. But Miami had all three timeouts, why not throw down the middle? The Marine Mammals acted as if it was critically important to stop the clock, despite holding three timeouts. At least the unused timeouts can be donated to charity.

Another I saw this weekend was in the Penn State game where Bill O'Brien let something like 11 seconds run off the clock at the end of the first half before calling timeout to try to get the ball back. That's not something you ever have to worry about as an offensive coordinator, but you need to keep track of things like that as a head coach.

“When the players hit the ground in the end zone, the officials determined that both Tate and Jennings had possession of the ball. Under the rule for simultaneous catch, the ball belongs to Tate, the offensive player. The result of the play was a touchdown.

“Replay Official Howard Slavin stopped the game for an instant replay review. The aspects of the play that were reviewable included if the ball hit the ground and who had possession of the ball. In the end zone, a ruling of a simultaneous catch is reviewable. That is not the case in the field of play, only in the end zone.

“Referee Wayne Elliott determined that no indisputable visual evidence existed to overturn the call on the field, and as a result, the on-field ruling of touchdown stood. The NFL Officiating Department reviewed the video today and supports the decision not to overturn the on-field ruling following the instant replay review.

“The result of the game is final.”

I would not be surprised at all if the Saints and Packers are both 1-3 after week 4. Basically what BB said; the Saints NEED to win, and we have this hanging over us.

I can see that, but what I can't see is New Orleans stopping the Green Bay offense. I suppose the Saints could win, but it they are going to win, they are going to need to score 40-plus points.
