Your point about why Pau is better than Kobe is comical. Im going to pretend you didnt say it because it makes zero sense. Hes better because Kobe shoots too much? That was just one reason. His passing is worse, his rebounding is worse, he's turning the ball over more, he's taking as many dumb shots but not powering them through as often, his defense is rapidly declining, he looks slower in general, he wasn't deferring to Bynum/Pau....

A torn ligament in your wrist will cause some turnovers. Last year you could tell it was messing with him when he was crossing over in any type of traffic, the ball would just spit out. Im not going to take that as a sign of getting worse unless it goes on again this year.

If you were to watch a Laker game the last few years you should take a look at the lakers when they are losing or the game is close. NO ONE wants the ball, they all look to Kobe and say "Bail us out", its quite embarrassing to watch. Bynum was the only one other than Kobe who wanted the ball in crunch time.

You can make every single one of these criticisms about Pau Gasol (except deferring, because Pau loves to defer), yet he's better than Kobe... What am I missing? How does that make sense?

The Rockets announced that rookie forward Royce White is not with the club in McAllen for training camp because of "personal matters."

White also did not attend the club's media day on Monday for the same reasons.

He told FOX 26 Sports the personal matters are related to the fact that he suffers from anxiety issues.

"We are trying to figure out a plan for me to be healthy and successful long-term," White said. "It's not really anything that's going on right now. It's more of trying to take a pro-active approach and trying to put together a solid plan.

"It is definitely linked with my anxiety sure, but it's not so much as far as my anxiety now. Basically what happened was my doctor, we discussed it, and it was decided the way the plan was now just wasn't logistically healthy.

"So what can we do strategically to try and improve the chances of everybody being successful in this situation, my success and the Rockets success? If I fail then that's not good for them either, because it's an investment."

White said he did not know how long it take before he rejoined the team.

The Rockets said they would not comment further on White's situation.

The Rockets drafted White out of Iowa State with the 16th pick in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft.
