4* WR Tony Stevens decommitted from FSU because he felt he wasn't being shown enough love. Is there any more of a bitchmade excuse than that? Won't matter when Stacey Coley commits soon.
3* TE Christian Morgan decommitted from FSU because it was too far from home. I guess he just learned US geography or something.

Super classy, insult two guys who decommit. Read Morgan wants early PT also, and maybe he changed his mind about how far away he wanted to go to school?

Morgan would get early PT at FSU as a blocking TE, Tallahassee is no further away from home now than it was when he committed.
As for Stevens, when you commit in February common sense should tell you that you won't be recruited as hard going forward because you are committed. To expect that is just plain stupid. FSU has tremendous talent committed for 2013 and 2014 at WR and is in the driver's seat for the best WR in Florida this year. Losing Stevens doesn't hurt at all, just pathetic when kids want to be "shown more love" after they commit.

Adrian Baker @PrimeTimeBake
I honestly know why FSU loses committs...
Baker is EASILY the worst recruit FSU has committed to them so far, he wouldn't be a loss in anyway. He wants to stay stupid **** like that, pull his offer too.

So apparently Stevens called the FSU staff, told them he was publicly decommitting to take visits (which this staff allows anyways) and still intends on being a Nole on NSD. At this point he would be the third best WR FSU signs behind Stacey Coley and Isaiah Jones, arguably behind Jesus Wilson as well but his size makes up for it.
I started closely following recruiting in 2002, in 10 years these kids have gotten progressively worse with the self indulgent circuses they create.

Oh, now he's worse than Isaiah Jones and Jesus Wilson because he de-committed?

He was always behind Isaiah Jones once more film came out on Jones. Can't really compare him to Wilson as they would play entirely different positions at FSU as WRs. Current word is he told the staff the decommitment was just for fun so he could take more visits and is still committed to being a Nole on NSD. Either way, pretty bitchmade kid whether he's a Nole, Buckeye, Dawg, or Bull.

I love how you whine and complain about this, but don't give a **** about oversigning.
Any kid with half a brain would avoid FSU in the off-chance his scholarship would get pulled out from under him.

I'd love for you to name me one player who actually had his scholarship pulled from him at FSU.

Are you honestly suggesting that every kid that has left the program has done so entirely on their own accord?
I probably shouldn't so hastily put FSU in the same category as most of the SEC schools, but c'mon...

Speaking of which, how the hell is that the SEC passed a 25 player per year rule and Texas A&M (28) and Georgia (27) are already over the limit? Is this just SEC math, or am I missing something?

Has to do with early enrollees and/or back-counting. All that jazz.

Well I would say Greg Reid didn't leave on his own accord, but well, he left Fisher no choice.
Other players left because it was clear they would never play, such as Avis Commack (who was also arrested) and Will Secord. Some just didn't work out for personal reasons like John Prior (family tragedy) and Aubrey Phillips ( ). Arrington Jenkins, Nigel Carr, and Jarmon Fortson were all extremely talented players who were thrown off the team for general thuggery. If players were being processed like they were at Alabama, players like Justin Bright, Will Tye, and Moses McCray would not be on scholarship.
So no, not really coming up with anyone who was processed for the sake of being processed.

But you could only sign 25 a "class" with back signing before the new rule, so what was the point?

I believe that the previous rule had a limit of 28 + backsigning. Basically, they changed the curtains to make it seem like they were doing something, but it really doesn't change anything. There are still a ton of loopholes.

Didn't Miami sign 33 last year? That's Ole Miss-like numbers. Better watch out DG. Miami might become an SEC team through osmosis.

Still only 25 for the "class" and only one guy that signed isn't currently at the school (prep for grades), and we're still under 85 overall. Goldens first class was super small because he had 1 commit when he got there and we had a ton of early enrolles. Entirely legal and ethical! And we're only gonna sign 17-18 this year.

UNC is 15th this upcoming year and was 16th in 2011.. NC has some good HS football but hard to get them to stay here let alone go to UNC.
I like the rise of the program and the top 2 NC players still have big lists.

Do tell.
Speaking of, Marquez North said UT is his leader and he wants to make a decision soon. So that's pretty cool.

UNC screwed up with Dorian Miller big time. Big mistake there. Yet another NJ player who's underrated because he doesn't play in the south.

He was supposed take an official last weekend but you guys told him to push it back because they wanted to see how they were doing with other recruits. They want him to visit when they know where they stand with the others meaning he's on the back burner now.
