So glad the Red Sox shitcanned Valentine...such a dumb hire in the first place.
Also Trout should be the MVP. Cabrera had a great season and congrats to him for winning the triple crown which is an amazing achievement. Trout though just was the better all around most valuable player - can't really argue it.

Mets fans, why is the team thinking on letting Pelfrey go? I thought he was a solid rotation guy for you guys?

Try looking at them again, and realize how close they are in general. Then factor in the defense and baserunning, and Trout wins.

Nope he's terrible. I can't wait to see him gone. He has no fastball or off speed pitch.

Question about the playoffs. Do the Yankees play the WC winner no matter what or do they play the team with the lowest amount of wins?

Given what the MVP has become (best player on a playoff team), I'd give it to Miggy. He led his team to the playoffs. Take him off the team, they don't make it. Take Trout off the Angels, they are still the number 3 team in that division.

I don't like how the WC teams can submit a new roster after their one game play in. Basically they can load their roster today with relievers and bench players and leave off the starters they know are completely unavailable.

Yea I hope they fix it. So I would assume all the WC teams will be leaving off their starters who pitched Tuesday and Wednesday.

If you're a team in the WC and have a strong bullpen you're better off letting the crappy starter go 3 and then just matching everything up.

That is correct. Buck could have real quick hook with Saunders.

Since the wild card game is part of regular season, there should be no roster change. No?

It is not part of the regular season. It is a playoff game. The one game the Yankees and Orioles would have had to play for the division had they finished tied would have been a regular season game.
So the Wildcard teams set a 25 man roster just for this one game, and then if they win they set a new 25 man roster for the Division Series.
