Hes talking the one directly from Google that gets the updates before the carrier ones. So its technically even better.

Nice! I doubt you will be displeased. I basically have its big brother in the Transformer Prime and I love it. A coworker has the N7 and its a great device.

my buddy has the same one, he still had to wait for verizon to push it out. it is totally possible he didn't do something properly, and i didn't bother trying to sort it out.

Yeah I'll be getting the factory-unlocked (or should it be non-locked since it was never locked to begin with?) Gnex found here and will be using TMobile Monthly 4G. Can't wait.

My wife's EVO fell apart so I just bought myself a Nexus S off of ebay for $75 and will give the wife my EVO 3D.
Love JB on my N7. Can't wait to have it on my phone as well now.
Anyone play with different launchers on their phone? I did for the first time and while it looks nice, my phone is noticeably slower. Is that the norm or should I try a different launcher / theme / etc?

used nova launcher for my current home screen
And I fully plan on making my own icon pack in photoshop to get all the missing ones that they didn't have.

There could be up to 5 new Nexus to choose from :-)
http://androidandme.com/2012/10/news...g-in-november/
I've heard good things about the LG Optimus so the Optimus Nexus is the phone that intrigues me the most right now. HTC, Samsung and Sony also rumored. It also just might be 4 phones and another tablet. Possibly a Nexus 10.

Well I am pro Android. I hate the user base of the iPhone. I'll take anyone willing to convince me to stay with Android. I'm on the fence currently.

there is, currently, no reason i would ever go back to the iphone. the only thing i liked more about it was that it was better as a music player, but now that spotify updated it's app, i don't even miss that. i hate it's os, and i don't like the phone's form factor at all. also, i like having functional maps.

Indeed. I am curious about this new Nexus. I just don't like how god damn big all the screens of Droids are. I know that's odd but I like a normal size phone. And my Droid X turned out to be a piece of crap.

either way, i like bigger screens. the phone still fits in my pocket. it's still ergonomic. *shrug*

I love the big screens. I got a 3.5" screen right now and its barely big enough. I liked the 4" screen my Atrix had much more and love the S3 screen.

If Google is releasing new Nexus phones I wonder if the old Nexus will drop in price again.

Haha, yeah. I understand that. My Droid X has just had a bunch of issues since day one but I mostly attribute that to Motorola being crappy and not supporting many OS updates for it.
I mean, I have big hands but I feel really dumb carrying around and talking on this big huge phone.
I can live with it though if it's an awesome phone. I want to see the specifics of this new Nexus phone though. I haven't heard much about it.

see, i just hate not having enough screen real estate on the smaller phones. the first iphone i had was awesome, because i'd never had anything like it. since then, anytime i swapped my x with someone's iphone, it felt tiny. it was hard to read webpages or anything more substantial than a brief text message or email. *shrug*
everyone has their own comfort standard, for sure, so i've never really argued on that point. either the phone feels awkward and huge or tiny and harder to use or somewhere in between. it's like getting into the driver's seat of a new car. either it fits or it doesn't.

The Galaxy Nexus Forenci has a nice big screen but it doesn't look like a mammoth of a phone ala the Thunderbolt, Galaxy Note so on and so forth.
The S3 looks like one of those big guys but the specs are there to match.

Intriguing. Does anyone have some specs of the Galaxy Nexus? I'm curious how it compares to the iPhone and S3.

i don't have the specs, but it compares favorably to the iphone5, but is a small step behind the s3. i'd honestly wait a month and see if the next batch come out. i'd guess that they'll be a full step beyond the nexus.

A lot of us have it and it is comparable to the S3 maybe a little slower.

Oh yeah, I will be. I'm not getting a new phone until December most likely. I'll be interested to see how it turns out.

Get the iphone. You won't regret it.
Then we can make a thread on the iphone and talk about how cool we are.
