What these new MMOs need is a system like the AA system that EQ had. Hit max level? Okay, you can continue to gain exp and spend points on different abilities or ways to improve your current abilities.

I think TOR sort of has something like that. I think you can earn Legacy points and spend them on stuff now. Don't quote me on that because I haven't played around with the Legacy system yet, but I will as soon as I re-sub.

The Legacy system rewards are mostly just convenient benefits, field repair droid, GTN and everything in your ship, etc. I wish it was more like the EQ'S AA, character/class bonuses and abilities.

I've been receiving emails from them about the beta. They call it an early purchase which gets you either early access, super early access, or a third legendary package. I don't understand where the confusion is coming from. You buy the game now, and play it while it's still in Beta stage and keep playing it once the Beta is over.

The reason why I had any doubts was due to the fact it is not stated anywhere on their website or forums. Nowhere that I could find did it say that you are also purchasing the game. Information on WarZ is greatly lacking.

Well based on the email I received it makes it fairly clear that it is an in game purchase. It's not like it's common practice for a developer to give people access to the beta only for a fee.

Oh and Vidae, if you do get extra beta keys I'd love to use one if you're willing to spare one! Assuming you play it and think its a solid game.

I found out that the "guest pass" is only for two days. Which is really lame.

More than likely I will wait til the 19th or 20th to purchase. Anyone who purchased the silver and gold will have had 4-5 days to play it and tell me how it is and you can still make the purchase til the 20th.

Well, that's the thing that sucks. If the game is crappy, it's clearly not worth it. If it's awesome and a lot of friends end up buying it the free Stronghold server would make it worth it.

For all y'all PC gamers, in case you're interested Toys R Us is having a sale right now. Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Arkham City, Battlefield 3 and a bunch of other games are going for $10.

It wont be worth the trip. The last time Toys R us did this they only had 2 games of each in stock.

Still debating between subbing for TOR or just buying The War Z Legend package. It comes out in a few days (well, the Alpha starts anyway) but I'm having trouble deciding. Mehh.
